I was truly disappointed in our dinner. My daughter-in-law got The lobster ravioli she had a ton of sauce, a ton of bread and five ravioli $26 I ordered the steak it came out fine. They gave me three hush puppies that were so tiny and I don’t even understand why I got hush puppies instead of bread. Two of us got the sweet potatoes with our dinner. The sinner was done, but the outer edges that touched the skin were burnt, So it didn’t give you much potato to eat since they were so tiny. We got two appetizers oyster Rockefeller was good, but the gator bites were the tiniest little crunchy nuggets and we didn’t get many at all for four people. It was just actually kind of a joke. I’ve never seen gator bites that tiny and a tiny tiny portion. Then my son got the fried chicken sandwich which said it was coming on a sub roll and it came on a hamburger bun and it was a round frozen pressed chicken patty. He only ate a few bites. He did not like it. Probably the only good things we had were she crab soup was delicious and the strawberry spinach salad was delicious. My sister got the fried oysters with a burnt sweet potato. The food didn’t come out looking pretty or presentable like the pictures you see all I can say is this place must’ve changed ownership. Nothing was like the reviews and I spoke to a few people about my experience The last time they went, it was also unpleasant that they thought the restaurant had went down substantially. I will not go back. I was so distressed that I spent $175 and as soon as we left, my son went to Taco Bell to get something to eat, that’s how bad his chicken sandwich was. And I don’t care who you are after you spend $175 you shouldn’t have to go to another fast food restaurant to get something else to eat. I usually always try to say something good very rarely do I leave bad reviews but this place just I will not recommend it. I remember back in the day riding by in the parking lot would be packed. This is no longer the case there was no weight in the restaurant was almost empty and it was a...
Read moreMy name is Ernest Armstrong. The food has always been awesome for the 16 years that I have been coming. The owners Husband and wife are amazing , Debbie is amazing all the owners children are amazing. I been bringing my daughter since she was born for 8 years. The waitress was amazing. I ordered 3 shrimp tacos like I always have done for years.i ate 1 and a half and started to taste like it had been sitting for a little bit in the back. So I shared with the waitress and she was so kind about it. Then here comes the manager on duty today and says I can only give you 1 taco because have eaten 2 . I replied I did not eat 2 tacos it was only 1 and a half was eaten. The moral of this review is I been coming for 16 years and have never sent back anything to the kitchen. I just wanted 2 tacos and he denied me and was insinuating I was lying telling me no you ate 2 tacos. You imagine going back and forth with a manager like by giving me 2 tacos would hurt the business. It was not about the tacos it was about the respect . He should of never come back to me to tell me he can only give me 1 taco. Just go make 2 tacos because I am a V.I.P.customer. I am going by the owners other beautiful location to share my experience with this manager. Never go back to a customer and mention something as small as that . Just order the kitchen to make me 2 tacos. And then the manager guy says I remember you I will tell Debbie you came by. This goes further than Debbie. I remember when Debbie was a server. This is my relationship with the owner and their children. Thank you...
Read moreWhat a delicious and delightful spot. First off, the music was a whole vibe. I almost forgot where I was. Everything from SWV, Michael Jackson, Temptations to Mary J Blige. I was shooting. I was meeting a friend in the area and he said the food wouldn't disappoint and he was right.
I started out wanting shrimp. I mean, it's VA, Duh. So, I got their firecracker shrimp, and they were delicious. The shrimp was fresh and large with a delectable spicy Thai sauce and a bed of spring mix to garnish. The sauce and peppery greens really meshed well together. We indulged in the shrimp plate with a classic loaded backed potato and cheesy broccoli. I settled on 2 hugemoungus crack cakes with a tangy and zesty romulade. I wanted to balance the meal with their sweet potato casserole and large heavy battered sweet onion rings.
The Crab cakes were fully favored with a comfortable amount of seasoning and a bright lemon infusion throughout each meaty bite. The robust romulade really enchanted the sweetness of the cake. The sweet casserole was also palatable and played well with the cake. I wanted the sweetness. However, the onion ring shocked me. They were high, delicious, and very sweet. I wasn't expecting it. The specific sauce for them also enhanced the flavor profile. They were crispy and strong and not overly greasy. I loved the taste of them.
This spot is a hidden gem. Run don't walk. I thoroughly enjoyed my food and the establishment. Great comply chill spot that's not uptight or...
