Waffle House — Restaurant in Virginia

Me and my wife weren’t greeted, and waited at the table for 15 minutes before someone came by to give us waters. We then waited another 15 until someone asked if anyone had “gotten us” yet. We finally ordered and I received my food first while my pregnant wife waited another ten minutes. The waffle came after all our food was gone and THEN our waitress asked if we received everything or if we needed anything else. She never said anything to us or checked on us prior so we got our check and left. My wife used to be a waitress so we always tip well, but I think our server Gabby didn’t deserve the 3 cent tip we left. She was awful! She spent more time giggling to her coworkers than caring for the 5 customers she had, then acted confused by any interaction with us. Do not recommend her. Walked in and not a single person out of 6 people greeted us. Assumed I seat myself, so I sat my son n I down and waited for someone to even acknowledge that we existed and offer a menu. That did not happen. Intentionally made eye contact or attempted to make eye contact with 5 of the 6-7 people there. Everyone avoided my eye contact. Two of the employees were standing, hovering at the grill in a deep conversation oblivious to the world around them. And no they were not cooking. One was stocking. Another that looked like a manager just walked right past us to the table behind us. The other two were aggressively looking at their orders like they’ve never served before and don’t know how to do their job except act like their busy so people avoid asking them for help. I know we’re all facing challenges in the workforce. But this was a prime example of plenty of people. No...

My wife and I went to our local waffle house to enjoy some breakfast. When we entered, we were not greeted by any of the 3 staff members working. There was 1 Cook, 1 waitress and 1 front counter/cashier. We proceeded to sit in their waiting area for someone to greet us to find us a table. We were ignored the entire 10 minutes we waited in the sitting area for a table, with no one even acknowledging we were waiting to be seated.

Needless to say, we proceeded to stand up and leave, at which point even as we stood up and left no one attempted to ask us if they could help or provide us a table. The worst part is even if the staff assumed we were waiting for a to go order, no one even asked if they could help or take our order or anything.

Will try to eat here again in the future, but overall it was a terrible experience...
