This is a grocery store I go to regularly. They have a nice selection of foods & varied brands. Their fresh produce is usually good, fresh & high quality. There's a Starbucks in the store as well. They offer a bake shop with freshly made breads, cakes, rolls & bagels, along with lots of other baked goods. They also have a delicious counter where you can get a variety of meats & cheeses, along with rotisserie chicken & other tasty delicious goods. They have a fresh seafood area & they have a limited butcher area. On occasions when I needed something special, there was always someone there to fulfill my special order. They also have an in-house pharmacy. The staff are very good & are always helpful. I get a of my medications here, as well as my vaccines. On the rare occasion that I've needed help, or to return a product, there has always been someone to help. In general, the staff are friendly, helpful & welcoming. I especially like that they hire people with disabilities. I think this is a great service to the community & I'm glad to know that Giant helps to contribute to the training & independence of people with handicaps. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been shopping at this store for over two years. In this time I have developed a relationship with alot of the employees. All of them have been nice to me and recognize me as a regular. Valerie,a cashier, is wonderful. Our banter every week is fun and makes my trip enjoyable. The stock people, managers,etc I have nothing but good to say. That is until today. 1/21/17. Brittany Macintosh was the manager this morning. There was an issue with the card reader. She was called to the register, and seemed rude and annoyed. She left said it was fixed and when it wasn't was called back. She did not respond immediately and when she did that same annoyed,rude attitude came out. When see couldn't fix it she says: "Come over here." Not really to me just talking and walking away. Not, "Sir, I'll take care of you at the service desk." Some nice response as though I weren't an annoyance to her. She rang me up no Thank you or similar response. This young lady needs to be retrained on customer relations,and relating to her co-workers. This is my first and only "Bad" experience...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhile I have used Giant frequently over the past 9 years...I now am going to other stores for the majority of my shopping. This particular location typically has a decent selection and helpful staff...but it has been losing ground.
Recently they joined the the trend of shutting down one of their two entrances. Not sure the reason but it is a huge hassle especially when the store is busy.
They also have stopped carrying some of the typical brands or options. Perfect example. We used to get our coffee from Giant. We used Gevalia espresso roast but Giant no longer carries it. They carry Gevalia, just espress roast is not available.
Same with Maxwell House International House flavored coffee. Used to have a decent selection of their flavors but now I have to shop elsewhere to get them
The list goes on and on. Let's just say that while I still go there once or twice a month to get specific items...the rest of my shopping is being done elsewhere.
