China King — Restaurant in Virginia

I wouldn’t even give it one star but you have to, to leave a comment and I typically don’t leave comments but I have come here for a few years now but not by choice only by location and the food is decent but tonight was the final straw for me. I have always ordered the same two things and have been very clear when I’ve ordered. They have always made minor mistakes but I’ve tried to overlook. Tonight I called in and told them it was a mistake with my order and that I would like for it to be made over and I’d come back in to pick it up. One lady said ok, it will be ready. I get there and gave them the in touches food and asked for my correct order for them to tell me I’d have to wait 20 min and to see he dump my original food back into the wok and him to add what he needed. Ok cool, but my whole purpose was not to wait and was told I didn’t have to wait. Anyway this place has no professionalism they can speak English when needed but they or allow their children to address issues or mistakes. I had their daughter just stand and look at me and roll her eyes, it was just completely rude and handled improperly and I feel as though I shouldn’t be addressing a child. The food was really nasty! (6 separate orders total) We paid almost $90 and "All" of it was dry, bland and lukewarm as if the food sat for hours and had gotten really old (Dry, lukewarm, chewy shrimp is gross...). On top of that, it took about 45 minutes to deliver and we are only a little over a mile away. So I called them to tell them how bad the food was and they told me to box it all up and bring it back for a refund. When I did bring it back they had the nerve to give an attitude about it! No apology!? Plus, the lady that gave me the refund shewed me off after I said thank you! Horrible food, and even worse service, they should be ashamed of themselves. I "guarantee" you they wouldn't feed that slop to their own children. It's really sad that this is the level of service that is so common here in America. (Needless to say, things need to change...) I wish I could give them "negative" stars...

I’ve been here before and the phone isn’t bad so I decided to get lunch from here. I called to see how much their general tso lunch meal is. The lady who answered said it was 9.50 and I specifically asked if it came with an egg roll because that’s what I wanted. When I got there she said it was 14.90. Mind you I ordered my food around 1:00 which is considered lunch special. At this point I’m already annoyed because I notice how they make prices up on the spot. When she hands me my food I see only chicken and rice. I’m like where’s the egg roll? She’s like that only comes with dinner. As I’m trying to glance at the menu to see the lunch special it clearly says either free soda or egg roll and she quickly tries to flip it over. I will be disputing this charge with my bank.
