I wasn’t going to leave a review, but after the owner was dismissive, I decided to leave a review. I have visited this Boba hut and deli shop a few times and the sandwiches were fine. But today we ordered two turkey with avocado sandwiches and another sandwich. I and my daughter had the turkey sandwiches and we got food poisoning. Our friend who did not have a turkey sandwich did not get food poisoning. I contacted the shop made it clear that I was not requesting a refund. I made it clear that I was only contacting them to let them know something was clearly wrong with their turkey, just for the purpose that they would not use that meat to make more sandwiches because I was concerned about the customers also getting sick. Yes I am that caring Neighbor. Who I believe to be the owner became argumentative saying how they’ve been in business for X amount of years and never has anyone gotten sick from their food, also how the turkey was fresh and she made other sandwiches. She just came at me hard with a bunch of excuses as to how she knew it was not the sandwiches that gave us food poisoning. So I have diarrhea from the food I purchased at her shop and now she is calling me a liar. The way she jumped with all the reasons why it wasn’t the sandwiches that made us sick, It seems as if she had it all memorized or use to that complaint. Again very defensive instead of apologetic. She next started to question me if I had anything to drink with the food, if we had eaten out anywhere else within the last 24 hours, again trying to prove me wrong when I’m the one with a bloated stomach after eating her food sitting on the toilet with nonstop, liquidy feces. She also mentioned how she is trained in the food poisoning field, idk why she felt it necessary to tell me that. Anyway she said I could go back and get 2 more sandwiches. Why would anyone go back for food at the same shop where they got food poisoning LOL JUST ACCEPT YOUR FOOD GAVE ME AND MY DAUGHTER...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst experience I've had since I've been in California. The owner(?) wanted to argue with me that adding fruit to flavor your boba milk tea changes it to a smoothie. That a fruit flavored boba milk tea isn't a thing. That "everyone knows that those don't contain tea or milk, it's a thin smoothie". Literally every boba place I've been to that I've asked for a flavored boba milk tea: asks what kind of tea (oolong, black, green) and what flavor and what kind of boba or jelly. Acting like i don't know what I'm talking about cuz i called out the price difference of getting charged for a smoothie instead of a tea is a crazy way to handle business. If i could give negative i would. Also saw 2 years ago ppl we're commenting on no washed/gloved hands after handling cash and touching our unwrapped straws - yeah it's still a thing that's happening here which is disgusting. There are plenty of other boba places around with better drinks/prices/service/sanitary habits. Save yourself the time and just go to any other place but...
Read moreI came to this place a few years ago and the lady was very sweet and the tea was good. But I came here this morning and the lady was rude, did not have gloves on before giving me unwrapped straws, and took a very long time. Please use gloves or wrapped straws especially when covid is still around. Mom and sis said unsweetened tea tasted old but got a refund after an argument on how since she was drinking the same tea and thought it tasted good in her opinion that we were wrong and so thank you I guess for returning...
