Tonight was my first time at this restaurant. The absolute worst experience I have ever had.

My family made a reservation for my cousins 18th birthday party. We had quite a large party and were seated in the back, within 15 minutes of bring seated another smaller party was put right next to us, which was fine up until they started being loud and rude mocking everything we said at our table including singing happy birthday to my cousin.

These rude adults, which come to find out were the owners own family were completely out of line mocking, sneering and staring down my 18 year old cousin. However it didnt stop there, 2 men including a very drunk blonde whom I presume to be the daughter of the owner started cursing and advanced as though to start a fight with my 2 uncles and grandfather who are all war veterans the day before memorial day. The drunk blonde also continued to curse at my grandmother and my aunt and then threw a wet napkin at my 17 year old cousin and 6 year old daughter. The male waiter who witnessed the entire thing, did nothing and even apologized to the other party just because they were related to the owner.

We ended up leaving with my cousin in tears because her birthday was ruined. I am absolutely appalled and disgusted by the behavior of the restaurant, the male waiter named chris and hope the owner addresses the situation because I will never go back and will not recommend...

The food was great as usual but our waitress was loss the drinks took 20 min. We ordered a appetizer which came at the same time as the pizza and then the spaghetti final showed up. It wasn't that busy and there were 2 busboys that could have done some of the drinks etc. We gone to the restaurant for 20 years but the service was the worst its ever been. I have to change my service comment,we went there on the 21st of August to celebrate my 75 birthday ,big mistake.... They were having a fund raising for RBV polo team.. Pure madness.took 15 for a waitress to come to the table. Another 10 for the drink order ( got it wrong) after another 10 min we're brought bread plates and butter , NO bread... After speaking to manager waitress brought wrong salad for family feast..it's now well over and hour from ordering still no food.had ordered an appetizer no show.out of drinks by now no waitress to check on us??? Once More had to find manager and then everything came at once..tables are small room for one course at a.time.. Thought do to everything a show of appreciation for having to have such a terrible occasion they might be professional a discount the meal.but our waitress only had a sincere from management.worst...

Been coming here for about 15 years, primarily for the pizza. Quality of pizza has really varied the past 18 months. Several times the crust has been like Pizza Hut, NOT like their usual (which is thick, but not deep dish). Even being thinner, the crust was not done. The ingredients were mediocre, at best. They used to put on a lot of cheese, like Filippis, but again, that now varies . Having had that experience several times recently, I asked for extra cheese. They charged me for extra cheese, but I never received it on several occasions. ALSO, some of the slices hardly had any ingredients on them, at all. Most of the time, I have gotten the pizza "to-go." On half or more of these occasions, if I had been eating at the restaurant, I would have sent it back. I know the owner has passed away. I think he used to keep an eye on things, and now it appears no one does. After fifteen years, I need to find a place that consistently serves pizza the way Mama & Papas used to. I hope they take these reviews seriously & realize they are losing many repeat customers. It is really sad to need to write this...

First time to this place and it was a pleasant experience. I was excited when I heard the original owner was from Philly because I knew it was going to be good. I got the eggplant Parmesan and it was good, the way I like it, the spaghetti had a horrible feel in my mouth, kinda grainy and it definitely wasn’t fresh, it was probably sitting in cold water and they tried to heat it up. The gravy/sauce is excellent which you don’t find out of. My friend had the trio plate which she hardly touched and threw it out when she got home, she said the ravioli was like plastic and overall just not good. The service was pretty good even though he messed up on the trio plate and only brought out lasagna, it was corrected but took a while to get. They have one of those serving robots which is pretty stupid for a small restaurant and it’s so loud. The place is pretty clean, they do charge a fee if you use credit cards and give a discount if you use cash. 🤌🏼 I also don’t understand the game machines but I’ll be sticking with Nucci’s.

Delicious. This food here is really great, and the portions are generous. The restaurant has a very old school vibe to it when you walk through the front door. The staff was very attentive and got everyone seated right away. The whole restaurant was clean and well maintained. The antipasto salad and the meatballs are some of the best items on the menu. The meatballs are huge, and you can order them covered with cheese, same with the sausage. The Fried Zucchini appetizer is also excellent, cooked just right. The large salad is truly large, more and enough for a few people all by itself. This place can accommodate a small party of 2, all the way up to a huge family. There is lots of seating inside and no apparent outside seating. Lots of parking in the lot out front as well. It's also located very close to the train/sprinter station . If you just want to stop off for a home style dinner while you travel around North County, this is an excellent choice.

Great mom and pop Italian restaurant. Reminds me of Fillippi's pizza grotto. Sauce is amazing and that is all you need to know to determine if an Italian restaurant is good. I loved loved loved their antipasto salad that can feed a large family. I especially liked their interesting dressing mix of Italian and ranch or maybe it was blue cheese. I forget. You wouldn't think mixing the two would be good but it is!! I highly recommend it. I also appreciate their generous portion of bread! I also had their veal parmesan which is also a good indicator of a good Italian restaurant and it did not disappoint either. It's also reasonably priced. Their pizza is readily good as well, again it reminds me of Fillippi's without the ridiculous prices. Check this place out if you're in the area!
