Pizza On Tap (P.O.T) — Restaurant in Vista

Wow! My how you have changed😞

P.O.T. is one of those places that held a special place in my heart but wow what a difference a couple years change. I have been coming to Pizza on Tap for years. At the beginning,@ Mike was there constantly but I know times have changed and Mike cant always be there. With all that in mind, it pains me to say this but Pizza on Tap is not as great as it once was.

Lets start off with beer selection. Beers are delicious and its great to have different flavors every week but with no ciders a lot of females may want to skip out. Honey Hips was a staple and its no longer there.

Overall design of the place looks great. Although the employees struggle to learn to use the tv, there is a variety of channels and sports to view. However minus points for the Wi-Fi. I asked the employees 3 times for the Wi-Fi and they did not know the password.

The food has always been good, but recently Ive had some poor encounters with the staff. Here some examples: i ordered a slice of pepperoni and the girl asked me if I wanted she could make it with sausage. I said yes and then she brings me out the pizza slice and all this guy did was throw some cold pieces of sausage in top. Another occasion, they gave 1 small side of dressing for my Caesar salad. I asked if I could get another small one and the guy clearly said no and charge him again. As if the dressing was coming out of his paycheck. This past week, we ordered regular fries for my daughter but they brought her out seasoned fries. We told them to redo them. Since we had already been digging in with our hands, we asked if we could just keep them to which they said NO and the brought my daughter very small small portion of fries. It looked pathetic.

But the struggles comes from the staff. Although im sure they're nice people, I see nothing but poor customer service. Nothing disrespectful but more as like I feel ignored. First no one smiles anymore. The one thing that made this place feel like my place was how great the staff was. There was a caring sense of how are you doing? Now, people could care less. Second, there's no connection with the staff and customers. The staff knew what we liked and also they would come out and greet the people. Not the case now.

Hopefully they are better and I go back to enjoying the best pizza place...

My son & I ordered online. The website defaults to the Slice app on deliveries. If you do not choose your delivery option. We live pretty close. We ordered delivery due to a recent surgery. Well long story short. The slice driver stole the food. I never received it. The app listed as delivered and no food. I called POT. And after figuring out what had happened. The owner/manager Oscar. Realized my frustration and Offered to comp and remake my order & deliver it personally. Which he did. We just moved to the area and this is our go to pizza joint. That was great PR move. And every item we’ve ever tried on the menu is great. I will be spending a lot more money there. And BTW , Slice did offer me 50% off the delivery & tip. Not the bill. Which I laughed at. And stopped payment through my bank. They rendered 0% of services yet still wanted to be paid. Anyone with the slice APP , dump it and use someone else. I don’t do business with companies that do not take responsibility for there mistakes. Apparently, this has been an issue with slice drivers stealing customers food. Don’t use them folks. But this place , Pizza On Tap has 100% great customer service , great food. go and try it if...

Well i wish this rating was regarding the food but after 3 attempted trips there trying to eat i give up. What attracted me to this place was a giant sign that says "daily special $5.99 for 2 slices and drink, inquire within. 1st time there was during business hours and no one was there and it was locked up. 2nd time went the at 430 and was told their daily special ends at 420. They advertise a sign inside that says until 5pm. 3rd time trying to eat there i go in during happy hour hours (the time for deal) and they tell me no specials today. How are you going to advertise daily specials and then make up excuses when people inquire within. All is not lost. While it's safe to say i will never get to try the food there, the Mexican restaurant in the same complex has the best breakfast burrito in north county. I can't believe i was saddened by the fact that ive missed out on the pizza 3 times. Never again. Any time while in the complex my eyes and stomach will be on that Mexican restaurant. That you pizza on tap for ensuring i find the best Mexican food ever right in your very own complex. I highly recommend the breakfast burrito from the Mexican restaurant on the other side...
