Rock N Roll Scoops — Restaurant in Vista

There's a new icecream parlor in Vista and it's got a lot of personality!

Rock N Roll Scoops is a small brand that is the epitome of a vintage 60's diner, but with a Mexican icecream parlor twist!!

You can find this hidden gem in plain sight in a very inconspicuous and yet convenient location.

It's located just north of the 78 Hwy, off the EMERALD Exit and on Vista Way. They are in the same shopping center as Smart & Final grocery store and they are on the south side.

The interior of Rock N Roll Scoops was done with so much thought & care! From the tiling, to the wallpaper, to the iconic posters, jukebox, portraits and even a working gum-ball machine! Every attention to detail had the intention of launching back into the 50's to 60's era! But, to be fair, there's also 70's & 80's iconic brands & paraphernalia too.

The service is fast and friendly and I love their cute uniforms!! They were very patient with me learning all of the Mexican-inspired flavors.

I also love the ambience with the classic rock, pop hits and big band jump! There's also a lot of Mexican bands playing too.

They make all of their ice cream & their ice pops in-house daily with fresh ingredients & they have over 50 flavors to choose from! Thats about 25 ice-cream & 25 gelato pops. They also have agua frescas, acai bowls, old-fashioned kid candies (like ring pops) and a large assortment of ice-cream bars too!!

This place is totally decked out!!

There's plenty of parking in the front lot of the shopping center and although the inside is a little cramped, there are some tables that sit couples very well. But space is limited.

The size of their sample spoon is great & the entire place is clean. Their bathroom was immaculate! 😃

They also have Jarritos soda pop, classic Coca Cola and an assortment of bottled drinks.

What I DIDN'T see was ANY water available! 😅 It could be that they sold-out, but I'll come back to confirm this and report in a post 😉

Overall, I am truly in love with the vibes here and due to the large assortment of flavor combinations, I can tell that I'll never get bored!

Wow!!! What a hidden gem here at Vista Area. One of the best Ice cream/desserts places here locally. DIEGO, the staff is such an excellent employee as He did a very well job in explaining what food/flavors they are selling.He is very patient and greeted us all with a smile and a positive attitude.

There's a a variety of sorbet, ice cream, paletas or popsicles and toppings.Plus they sell some mexican corn which is soo delicious and freshly made.

The interior has a retro/diner vibe which feels like a turn back in time with a working jukebox all in all it is aesthetically appealing.

great flavors great music great staff

I went to this shop with my gf to get ice cream and was very happy with our sweet treats. The ambiance makes you feel like you live in the 50s with its music and decor. They had a lot of interesting flavors as well with other options. I personally got the mint n chip while my girlfriend got the coffee hazlenut flavor and both were really good.

It was so good that a few days later, i got a quart of there ice cream...
