It's with deep sadness that I ever have to leave a negative review for any small business. However, I just got off the phone for the second time with the assistant manager Constance, yelling at me. How we got here is beyond me. I've never had any issues with Chicken Salad Chick until this year in 2022. This first begin when the recipe for the tortilla soup changed. The tortilla soup was a staple for my family and we loved going every Wednesday. It was thick, savory, and with just the right of spice. Now it is watery and lacking flavor doused with cheese on top. Sad. Following this, the real trouble begin. My last two orders were made incorrectly and without pride. The first most recent order, the Fancy Nancy meal had less than half a scoop in the two sandwiches. It was mostly bread and they refused to comp me for both of them. They offered to remake only one or a refund. This made no sense. Furthermore, to refund me, I was inconvenienced to drive all the way out there; when I know it can be done automatically without me doing the leg work. This is when I first spoke to the assistant manager. She was quick with me but she did apologize and I accepted it. Fast forward to today, only a week later. I was looking for quick dinner options and I saw I have enough points in the app for a free large quick chick. I was excited to cash in this reward as following cancer treatments, my mom can only eat certain things that won't upset her stomach. I also ordered a buffalo sandwich meal to go. I was once again let down by Chicken Salad Chick when I got home and the quick chick wasn't in my bag. I distinctly remember though the lady at the counter saying, "Would you like crackers to go with your quick chick?" Anyway, frustrated and cold I called the store and let them know what happened. The temperature had been dropping pretty rapidly all day and the wind chill was making my nose drip. I've just recovered last month from covid so I'm not wanting a cold. Again, I get the manager Constance who refuses to take any accountability and says she would appreciate it if I returned...on my motorcycle. My only form of transportation...so upset because I know my mom can only eat certain things and with the weather saying it may potentially ice in the coming days, I decided to return to the store. The assistant manager offered yet again a refund not understanding it's not about money. It's about doing it right the first time. I entered the store shivering and not one person standing around the counter apologized including the manager. I was handed my bag with the quick chick and I spoke with the counter person telling her...I know you asked me about crackers. She said she remembered this, but was unsure what was in the white bag, which was my side item. Again...0 apologies. I leave almost in tears cause this used to be my absolute favorite place in town...and the service has gone so far downhill. I get home and I call the manager to go over I spoke to the staff about the quick chick missing. She again takes no accountability she apologizes but it is clear she is trying to rush me off the phone. I simply am trying to explain where did this quick chick go, was it even made, what are you doing to ensure quality control? I'm not getting any guest service back. Instead she cops an attitude from the start yelling, "What's wrong now?!" and I'm keeping a calm demeanor the entire time. Furthermore she tells me she has no time to talk cause they've been closed 15 minutes. It was 5 after 8pm the closing time. Just incredibly rude and I explained I'm calling so this doesn't keep happening. She had told me that she's corrected the staff 3 or 4 times on past mistakes so tell me...why are they still working there? I end by explaining I'm going to take a break until they can get back on track to what they once were. She replied with a sly, "Take all the time you need" comment.    Read moreI ordered on the app for the Waco store today. My card info was stored. I got a confirmation email. I set the order for 30 minutes. My friend went to get it and was told my order didnât go through. I spoke to a VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL manager who accused me of entering my card info wrong or me not having enough $ in my account. I used to card saved in the app, if the info wasnât correct why allow my order to go through and send me a confirmation email with an order number??? I have over $400 in my account. Instead of being helpful and allowing me to pay by phone, or allowing my friend to pay cash, she told me I need to check my bank account before I call them. I told her that maybe itâs their app or system, and she raised her voice and said it was âobviously an issue on my endâ Iâve ordered via app for years, same way as today, without any issues. Iâve been a faithful customer. I could not believe how unprofessional, rude, insulting that manager was. Offered NO ASSISTANCE, no offer to make my order and help me in any way. I was talked down to and treated like I was just calling to annoy her. I was #10 in line at the grand opening and have ate there for years, at least weekly. Iâm sad to say, after today, Iâll never eat there again. I donât need to be verbally degraded and accused on not having $25 in my account because for some unknown reason (and the manager was clear she thought it was me) the order didnât go through, EVEN THOUGH I GOT A CONFIRMATION AND ORDER NUMBER!!! One of the worst customer service experiences I have encountered, anywhere. Iâve worked customer service and I KNOW that this girl doesnât have a clue on good customer service. You donât raise your voice, talk down to or accuse someone of having insufficient funds to customers. I shouldâve been offered an alternative to the app order. Why not take it by phone while we are speaking? Or allow my friend to payâŠor better yet, why not CALL THE NUMBER on the order and let me know that my order didnât process before we drive across town to be treated poorly and spoken to like Iâm not even a person.    Read moreI never knew that there were different ways to prepare chicken salad. Obviously, there is, and this place did an excellent job of it. I can honestly say I didn't expect much, just the same old same old chicken salad, but I was wrong. It's delicious!!!! From the Barbi-q, lemon-basil, Olivia's, and the Jalapeno Holly (there are more flavors), it's like a smorgasbord of yum!!! I left with one of each of these flavors of chicken salad, as they sell the chicken salad to-go in either small or large containers. Plus, the sandwiches are the best!
You have several choices of bread for your chicken salad sandwich, or you can get a scoop of it for a salad. Truly eating the chicken salad with the crackers that they provide is a taste bud treat, as well. The cake and cookies? Yes, please!!!
The main thing about this place is that the staff are very helpful and want you to like what you decide to order. If you are unsure, they offer a sample to assist you in choosing. Eric? and another lady that worked there was extremely helpful and kind.
