Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers — Restaurant in Waco

I normally don’t do this, but If I could give negative stars I would. So anyway, I went through the drive thru today at 6:45pm. I ordered a Caniac Combo, no slaw, extra fries, extra sauce and a sweet tea. Pretty simple or so I thought. I get maybe two minutes down the road and look in the box and none of it is right other than the sweet tea. I turn around go back. After being looked at by three employees like I’m a problem, one brings the fixed food to me and I open it give a quick glance it looks fine I drive off. For some reason I wait until I get home to check it. It’s still wrong. Only 5 pieces of chicken it’s supposed to be 6. Same as the first time around but the first time everything else was wrong as well. I normally wouldn’t even care but $20 for 1 person is entirely too much for mediocre food and mediocre service. I call to speak to a manager and I get a person that sounds young enough to be my child and he had zero care in his voice I’m really starting to think he was pretending to be a manager. Customer service in 2024 is completely gone, no matter where you go it just literally doesn’t exist. I will never be back to this Canes and this was my first time. The fake manager told me to come back and they will make it again. At this point I’d rather eat ramen then to go back there keep that piece of chicken obviously someone needed it more than me. They responded and said they wanted to "address what occurred?" They asked that I contact them by phone or website, so I did (phone & website). They have not responded. Not one peep. So they respond to a bad review on Google to make it look like they are responsive, and then they do nothing... or at least that has been my experience.

Unfortunately not one bite of my meal was hot. When my son worked at Cane’s years ago they did not cook your food until it was ordered. It took a few minutes to get your food, but it didn’t take long, and everything that was supposed to be hot was piping hot and fresh. Today, I was given my food at the counter before I could put away my change, and neither the chicken nor the fries were hot. They were barely warm. We live next to Raising Canes so naturally its our go-to last minute dinner on nights when we have no energy. I have to say that I'm impressed because they have very few options on the menu, but that is because they specialize in one single thing: The Chicken Finger. And they do it SO WELL. If your only going to offer one thing on your menu, you better knock it out of the park and they really do. We love their fries! The texas toast is great, and the sweet tea is perfect EVERY SINGLE TIME. Its never sour or inconsistent like other places. Just writing this review is making me hungry for some Canes. We also like how often they support our local schools and businesses. Overall a great company, and its very clean on the inside as well. I also love all the employees in the drive through!
