I came here, and I got a smoothie. The smoothie was not a smoothie. It was more like a slushy, which was really disappointing considering it was seven dollars. The service was all right, I definitely felt rushed, considering I had never been there. I did mention that, and the worker pointed at the back wall with the full menu. No recommendations or anything was given, and it was just kind of short and rude. After I placed my order, she left. I’m guessing it was the end of her shift, and she wanted to leave, which I totally understand. It’s still was kinda ehh though. The flavor of the slushy/smoothie was really good, though. It just sucks because I wanted a smoothie. Not a slushy.

If you’re in the Waconia area stopping by Mocha Monkey is a must. They have three locations, each with excellent service and drink options. However, the downtown location provides the best ambiance. There is plenty of seating that caters to both socializing and working. There are few rickety tables that can be a little bit annoying to work at, but overall there is a good variety of seating options. The coffee is always fantastic! Their main roasts are flavorful and robust, leaning acidic. Seasonal drinks are always creative as well as delicious. Overall, if you’re stopping in Waconia and you’re not popping into Mocha Monkey you are doing yourself a disservice!

Stopped in for a coffee, so many good options. Went with a september special, a pumpkin marshmallow concoction- it was delicious. Was able to do some work- there is amble seating, tables, and outlets which is not always the case! Ended up getting lunch as well. Got the turkey cheddar with pesto aioli - toasted and panini’d. I felt the sandwich was overpriced at ~$11, could be made a better feeling deal with a side or a “combo” option. Staff were friendly, the bathroom was clean, the decor was cute. Would recommend some sound dampening just to cut down on the echoey-ness. Started myself a stamp card and looking forward to coming back!

I wish this place had been open when I was a college student living in St. Boni. There is so much room upstairs for studying or hanging out with friends! It reminded me of pubs I've been to in Ireland, located in really old buildings, where one room leads to another and then another, and you're like, "where does it end?" It was really cool, so 5 stars for atmosphere. The coffee was pretty good. My only complaint would be the food. I actually laughed when my half grilled cheese panini arrived at the table. It was so small and had zero presentation. And what was the cheese? Something processed? I don't even know. But for almost six bucks I expected a little more...something. Glad I got the half and not the whole. My friend got a breakfast sandwich and it was the same...small and not that appetizing, and I think it cost even more than mine. For 2 small sandwiches and 2 specialty coffees we paid $25. A little steep for what we got. But this place has potential!! Maybe just add a little something on the side of those sandwiches (cole slaw? A kale leaf?) or use thinner bread for the panini and make them bigger? Waconia really needs this place. (I still can't accept the fact that Frost and Steam is gone.) The students at Crown need a place like this to hang out. The menu just needs a...

They have very good food there but their service sucks. My sisters and I got a drink and something to eat before our pedicures and we were SO late to our pedicure apt. There was 5 people there.. one person working.. long line.. does this make sense ?no. I worked at Starbucks and this was the exact opposite. No, you aren't starbucks but if you want peoples business, treat them right! You are not first priority, the customer is! They were on their phones and WHO knows what else. I was so confused and seriously could not believe that it was happening. I worked for a woman who owned her own coffee shop like that and we could not act like that.,we KNEW not to act like that.. we got customers in and out as fast as we could.. thats why people wanted to come back. Good thing I don't live in that town ...I would be going...

This is the coziest little coffee shop! I found it recently by asking Google to find coffee near me while in Waconia, and I'm glad Google brought me to Mocha Monkey rather than the nearby Caribou. They serve dine-in food and beverages on what appear to be handmade pottery tableware pieces, which was super cute. They have nice little areas set up with comfy chairs, a fireplace, and cozy furniture so I could see myself chilling out there drinking delicious drinks and reading a book for hours. Their chai was great and I also had a tasty breakfast sammy. I'll have to go back for their stuffed hot pretzels. They looked amazing! Great coffee, great food, great atmosphere! I'll have to find another excuse to go...
