So they’ve done away with the big overhead menu and the cashier at the front counter. I spent a good 10 or 15 minutes just flipping back and forth thru the pages on the kiosk to find what I wanted to order. Nobody even welcomed me to the store, much less offered to help me! There were 4 employees that I could see. 3 of them were sitting in the back of the kitchen, laughing and cutting up, not doing anything work related. The one girl that was cooking made several items for a drive thru order and then delivered it to the window. She then went back and joined the group in the back for a minute before starting my order. It took her another 5 minutes to make a chalupa and a black bean Crunchwrap supreme. She handed me my bag and walked away. I had to ask her for my drink. After getting home I discovered there were no napkins, no sauces (which I had asked for on my order) and no black beans on the Crunchwrap, only regular refried beans. Why ask if I want sauce if you’re not going to give to me? I also added guacamole to both items and was charged for it but not given it. All and all it took me a half hour from the time I got there till the time I left with my food. During that time there was one car thru the drive thru that received their food just after I finished ordering and zero customers inside. I paid almost $15 for two items plus a medium drink. I could have made them myself for about $5! And it would have tasted much better and been more satisfying! Thanks Taco Bell for reinforcing the idea that I need to cook at home more! I won’t be back! I also am done patronizing ANY establishment that uses self check out equipment...
Read moreI’ll give this location another try and revisit this review at a later point when I can get food. Attempting to get breakfast 10 minutes after the 8am opening and was told after a while waiting at the com that they would open at 9am. This seems to be a common problem at several locations - they are never ready to serve breakfast at their published opening time. I’m not sure if this is management not enforcing staff start times or the staff not being set up well by management to be ready, but Yum brands needs to figure it out if they hope to compete at breakfast time. You’ll face the same issue routinely at the Youngsville location.
Update: Revisited this location for breakfast again this morning at 8:05 and they were ready to go. The food was also made well and the service was quite pleasant. However, they forgot 1 item in the 3 item order, which is disappointing when you’re 10 minutes down the road and can’t go back. This happens quite a bit with large Tbell orders, but when they aren’t crowded and it’s a small order it’s disappointing. Really hoping this location steps its game up!
Update: Have revisited this location a few more times with success. They execute on breakfast better than any other location around here now surprisingly. Service has been pleasant for me at least and they’ve gotten the order correct the last few visits. They are still routinely out of a random items, but this may get worked out over time and is typical for a...
Read moreDisgusted. Wish I would’ve viewed these reviews prior to going to this location. The pictures show what was in ALL my teas ordered, on the following day. This is in no way shape or form to be considered normal. Yes, I drank some out of one drink and yes it did make me sick. Luckily, I only drank a small amount because it tasted absolutely horrible. I absolutely give thanks to GOD for not giving these drinks to my children. Had I drank the whole drink, there is no doubt that I would’ve been hospitalized. Still not sure what it is. Don’t delay in going to urgent care if you eat/drink from this place. Get stool samples, throat swabs and any other testing available, immediately and most definitely contact the health department. I will NEVER eat at this Gateway Commons location again and will likely never eat at another Taco Bell again. They definitely have a very immature staff. Like others mentioned, they rushed me to order in the drive-thru with literally no one in front or in the back of me is just one example. Even a former staff member stated they quit that location because of the lack of cleanliness, especially in regards to employees not washing their hands. I am not the only one affected by this. Same crud was found to be in another person’s tea as well, so it definitely was not just limited to my teas. Hopefully, they will be...
