Zero stars, worst Customer service ever!!!! I believe that they think just because they have a large space and serve you tea and/or lemon water in a real glass that that equals a quality experience when in fact it's all about Customer service. I had a nail tech whose first name initial is "J" a so-called Independent Contractor who was a decent... nail tech, meh!!! however his Customer Service skills and willingness to please his client was sorely lacking. To add further insult to injury, I called to complain to the managment about how dismissive J was towards me about my issue with my nails and to make a long story I was hung up on. Like who does that except a class of people who have no class. LADIES/GENTLEMEN...ANYONE, IF YOU CARE ABOUT THE QUALITY OF CHARACTER OF THE PEOPLE WHO ARE TOUCHING YOUR HANDS AND TRANSFERRING THEIR ENERGY INTO YOU...DO NOT AND I REPEAT...DO NOT GIVE YOUR HARD EARNED DOLLARS TO THIS PLACE, IT'S ALL "SMOKE AND MIRRORS" MEANING IT'S ALL GLITTERY AND SHINY BUT THEY REALLY ONLY CARE ABOUT TAKING YOUR MONEY...BUT IF YOU'RE OK WITH THAT TYPE OF SERVICE, THEN CARRY ON WITH THOSE TYPES!! Me...I'm way too good to allow them to touch my hands again...ever!! Small town bandits, no class, no culture. In all the times that I blindly gave them my service, never did they once even cut my cuticles...LOW CLASS ESTABLISHMENT, DELUSIONAL BECAUSE OF SQUARE FOOTAGE AND SOME HANGING CURTAINS OFFERING YOU GREEN TEA AND HONEY...GET THE EFF OUTTA HERE!! LOW CLASS, AND THAT'S ME BEING GENEROUS!! DON'T BE FOOLED, AND REMEMBER THEY ARE NOT THE ONLY NAIL TECHS IN TOWN...LET THEM HAVE THEIR LOYAL CLIENTELE WHO KNOW NO BETTER, CAUSE THE ONES WHO DO WILL NEVER HAVE PEOPLE LIIKE THIS TEND TO THEIR BEAUTY NEEDS. TRY THAT WITH THE NEXT FOOL...GOOD DAY!!
PLUS WHEN I GOOGLED "BLACK OWNED NAIL SALONS" VSPA CAME UP...JUST BECAUSE THEY HAVE A COUPLE OF AFRICAN AMERICANS WORKING AT THE FRONT DESK, DOESN'T QUALIFY THEM TO BE CONSIDERED BLACK OWNED...AND IF THEY ARE, WHY NO BLACK NAIL TECHNICIANS???? HMMMM...JUST ASKIN'. AGAIN, DON'T BE FOOLED, THESE PEOPLE CARE NOTHING (AND I WISH I COULD SHOUT THE WORD "NOTHING" OUT LOUDER) BUT THEY CARE NOTHING ABOUT US, THEY TAKE OUR MONEY AND ARE PROBABLY LAUGHING ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK...AND DO YOU THINK THAT WHEN THEY SPEAK TO EACH OTHER IN THEIR LANGUAGE AS YOU ARE GETTING YOUR NAILS DONE THAT THEY ARE SAYING HOW MUCH THEY LOVE AND APPRECIATE YOU...HA, THINK AGAIN!!!! LET'S WAKE UP BLACK FAMILY, AND SUPPORT OUR OWN. THERE ARE BLACK OWNED SALONS OUT THERE....SUPPORT OUR...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI guess when management is away they give zero fucs about customer service. Not only did I get passed around but no one bothered to explain why the tech left. First round was with Kathy. She used the acetone soak on my nails that was super hot. After 3 minutes she used a paper towel to wipe off polish and used the drill to attempt to remove the dip. When I shared with her that she was drilling to the meat of my nail she looked at me like I spoke a foreign language. I asked to continue soaking since the drill was hurting. I was escorted to another seat and that is when Taylor took over. Taylor did not greet nor ask what I was getting done. I was next to John who was wrapping up with a customer. I get it all the good technicians are ALWAYS BOOKED. NO MATTER HOW FAR IN ADVANCE YOU CALL. All techs should treat all customers the same. I explained to Taylor what I was needing done and she gave zero eye contact and did not respond. I asked John to tell her what I meant and she said I heard you. I have never seen Taylor before and when I asked her how long she had been doing nails she said the famous "long time" and nothing further. She got up and left! 25 minutes passed and Peter (his station is in the back by the sink. Not the Peter that sits next to Sky, they are always booked or not there when I call to try and make an appointment) came by to ask me to get up cause he needed his station. That was it for me. I need to mention that I have been a regular for years and up until I moved as best as I could being that I travel from Hagerstown MD to KV and Jimmy's spa. Even with short staff and turn arounds most of the techs and new techs are rather friendly, talkative, receptive to how you say you want your nails done and professional. I get it that things happen and not ever experience is going to be the best and I have written positive reviews before. This was one experience that my time, gas, and money was significantly wasted. Walked in at 9 am wanting a dip full set and spa paraffin wax pedicure and left out at 10:40 am with dissatisfaction and jacked up nails. š The front desk receptionist said she was sorry that they did not communicate. š¤ That's really no excuse for $75 and up services on nails. Note the bruising on the ring finger. That's where Kathy drilled to the white meat of my nail. Still currently...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust left V Spa & Nail today (4/25/17). PLEASE BE AWARE, they DO NOT ALWAYS sanitize their utensils. I witnessed my nail tech put the utensils he used on my nails back into the little supposedly "clean/sterile" bag they pull out for us. I was there 2 weeks ago and "Kim" gave me a pedi/mani. During my pedi, she accidently broke skin and drew blood. She tried to hide it by quickly putting something on my toe to stop the bleeding. But my toe contined to bleed. My thought was, no big deal accidents happen. I said to her "no worries, its ok". However, 2 days later my toe was swollen and throbbing. Went to the E.R. and was told my toe was afftected and I was put on antibiotics for 7 days. I've been going there for over a year, I've always liked the place.
When I discretely spoke to Jimmy today, he apologized. I told him he may want to stress to his employees the importance of sanitizing EVERYTHING they use on customers. He went on to tell me how great Kim is and on and on. He totally missed the point of me getting an infection AS A DIRECT RESULT OF USING DIRTY UTENSILS AND/OR SOAKING BOWL.
Today, "Kobe" gave me a mani. Not a very good one AND he broke skin and drew blood. I very discretely and politely informed Jimmy. When I proceded to pay, I expressed my disatisfaction of my mani. Jimmy said "I'm sorry you're unhappy, we do our best" REALLY! I guess I was expecting a more compasionate reply given I just shared the whole infection situation with him and still was willing to return to support HIS business.
I get soooo frustrated with businesses starting out great and as they become comfortable with their clientele and success rate, their customer service declines. The nail shop is conventiently located and clean, but I refuse to patronize any business that lose sight of being cutomer orentiated.
SIDE NOTE: As I'm standing at the counter to pay for my services, I pulled out MY lotion and proceeded to apply lotion to my hands. I said to the the young girl, "he didn't lotion my fingers, so I'm doing it". She said to me "I saw him massaging your hands" I said "Yes. He rubbed lotion on the TOP OF MY HANDS but he NEVER put lotion on my fingers, they are very dry looking ang feeling". Again, wrong response from V Nail employee!
I NEVER POST ANYTHING - GOOD OR BAD. But this...
