Yes, yes, and YES!!! My boyfriend and i have been eyeballing this place since they starting building it. Let me tell you it was WORTH THE WAIT!!! greeted inside by very friendly hostess’ and the wait staff was so friendly! We started off with the pan fried gyoza and edamame. SO! YUMMY!!!!! Then we dug straight into our entrees. I had got an LSU roll with the kani salad. (get the kani salad if you’ve never had it. it does not disappoint.) My boyfriend got a crunchy roll and udon noodles. This place really is a bang for your buck. we left with tummy’s full and leftovers for at least two days. if you’ve been thinking about trying it out, do yourself a favor and GO!!! I’m definitely coming back after such an awesome experience there!!

Visited for the first time tonight. We are big sushi fans and have eaten at many sushi restaurants, hibachi and even made our own. The service was mediocre, typical for a midline hibachi…problem is, there is no actual hibachi to sit at. You can order it and they “prepare” it in the back but it isn’t fresh. I ordered the hibachi chicken and salmon and it was clearly reheated. Every portion on the plate was a separate temperature and she brought it out less than 10min after ordering. Nothing on the plate was hot it was all warm or cold. Also ordered 2 sushi rolls, the spicy tuna and the spicy yellowtail and it was clearly pre-prepared and did not taste fresh. The fish was minced inside the roll and gummy. Not a fan….

I walked in and it smelled like sour fish! I ordered a kids shrimp hibachi (rice hard and shrimp cold) spicy crab with cream cheese (looked weird, did the smell test smelled sour took a bite disgusting), also got in shrimp fried rice absolutely nasty now granite and everything I did not like they took off the bill. Miso soup and jalapeño pepper is absolutely amazing. Their ginger salad so good. But the waiter says everybody makes their sushi different. I know that, but why is the sushi discolored in the rice hard as a rock?

Placed a to-go order here for $40 for two people, but since I couldn’t remember the name for the non-roll fish-on-rice-mound sushi, placing the order was an ordeal as they apparently couldn’t understand my various attempts at explaining that I wanted the shrimp on top of rice that isn’t a roll and generally come two to an order. Once they figured it out, I received a lecture on the proper name though I’m sorry to say my brain now forgot again in an act of protest.

Once I arrive I’m asked if I’d like to pay now though it might be “5 to 25 minutes” before the food is ready. Since we’re already well past the initial estimate and I have things to do, I ask for a more exact estimate as I might need to leave. Well, turns out the food is ready, they just need “someone” to come bag it up (above this guy’s pay grade I assume), but I’m finally handed my order. It’s a medium sized brown bag stuffed to the max with sushi trays and a single packet of chopsticks on the side. I ask if I can have another set and if there’s soy sauce in the bag. Yes, he says, I can have one more set of chopsticks and there are two soy sauces in the bag. Can I have more, I ask. Sure, how many, they say, and it will be 50 cents for each extra one.

Yeah, no. I’m not paying more for soy sauce packets. My order contains 4 rolls and three orders of nigiri (I remembered!!) that my husband and would eat with one packet of soy sauce each, if we didn’t have some at home. We later learned that they make the tiniest sushi you’ve ever seen, but it still wasn’t...

Recently in Walker for a quick King Cake handoff, and realized I was hungry. Turned into this place almost without thinking about it. I’m a low-maintenance guest anyway but the place is comfortable with a nice aesthetic. I couldn’t decide if I wanted miso or clear soup more, so they mixed them for me! I also tend to love any roll with mango in it, which left me with a couple options on the menu. The Hawaii roll, however, offered sweet potato inside and maybe I’m crazy but I’ve literally never noticed sweet potato inside a sushi roll before so I went for it. To my surprise the sweet potato was fried tempura-style giving it a nice crisp and a little warmth. The meal was perfect for my quick stop. Definitely...
