Anthony's Pizza — Restaurant in Wall Township

Fun story. My wife (then bride) picked up our wedding cake next door at the Chocolate Carousel. She walked past a nearby pizzeria, desperately wanting a slice, but time was against her.

Unfortunately, she could not remember the name of the restaurant.

Two days later as we headed home, she mentioned wanting pizza. I searched for one along our route and chose Anthony's.

As we drove into the strip mall, her excitement grew when she recognized Anthony's as the pizzeria from the other day.

The pizza was delicious!!

The staff were excellent and friendly!!

They kindly also gave us zeppole as a "wedding gift."

When I ordered it was great the girl was helpful and polite. That’s pretty much where it ended. My sandwich the chicken was so hard I couldn’t eat 3/4 of it. I also asked for light sauce it was covered in sauce. I’m not a complainer but I paid $17 for a small sandwich that I couldn’t even eat from the chicken being so hard. Then the soda top wasn’t on all the way partially my fault for not double checking but the cap off and I wore the drink. The place was nice clean just need to do better in the chicken maybe it was over cooked or reheated but very hard good portions if it was able to be eaten. We’ve loved this place for years now. Tonight greatly disappointed. We knew something was up when they had a boy - about 9 working the cash register. We ordered an Italian sub - hardly any meat, way too much lettuce—barely any oil and vinegar. This was clearly made by someone who does not know what an Italian sub should be. I called them when we opened the sand which (which took 45 minutes to get). I asked if it was new ownership-the girl said yes—but was acting like she didn’t understand English too well. When I told her I was disappointed she said “oh”—like she was too. These people need help otherwise this place is not going to make it. We are bummed —we loved this...
