Honestly, I used to order all the time. Not any more. I ordered a pizza that was way undercooked and a chicken par. I ordered the chicken parm sub with extra cheese, they didn’t put any extra cheese. And to be honest, it didn’t even seem like they gave much effort to make it as is basic off of the menu. There was barely any chicken, cheese, or sauce. Just mainly bread. I wish I had caught this before they served it. I would have told them it was unacceptable. I guess I’ll feed it to the wildlife. There’s really no nutritional value from ordering from here. Pizza was soggy and under prepped. If you go in, it’s a bunch of young kids that don’t care about anything other than the game currently playing. Really disappointing that this place used to be a staple. And to be completely honest, I don’t want a response from the owner saying “I’m sorry please reach out to us directly so we can correct this issue”. How about, no. You can correct the issue by actually caring about your business and genuinely caring about the products that you put out. By the way, your penne alla vodka is a joke. I’ve spoken to quite a few of long time customers that now actually redirect their business elsewhere because of the poor quality of food. Sad to say but spend your money else where. I will take photos to follow up. But if it helps to make up your mind, don’t waste your money here. Such a shame. EDIT: I just want it to be known that if you go there to pick up your food, it’s usually some younger female to deal with the overload of phone calls while the males in the back, carelessly grow around food making poor mistakes to which they call food while they watch foot ball and place bets and worry about fantasy football while they put out your “worthless meals” they really do miss the point of the food and how much Amore used to mean. Such a shame but honestly, there are so many better places to order from around wallingford. The terms pasta and sauce don’t even ring a bell to these kids anymore and the owner doesn’t even bother to see the quality of food that is put out. If the owner(s) did, they’d see the absolute garbage they are serving to people. By the way, wings and mozz should be far out of the question. Let alone the soggy salads they serve. But that’s a discussion for another time being that they won’t let me leave 2 reviews.

4.5 overall 8.2 on the slice Really top notch imo. I had a snafu and forgot to add a topping on a gh order. They let me call in and modify and pay cash at pickup. They didn't want to take my money on arrival which was nice of them. Tip your people, everyone! The slice was great. Big flop because it had toppings, but it held beautifully. Great char on the bottom and that razor thin apizza crust. Toppings up to the edge. Good pie. I don't think it's wood or coal fired, but the got the temp right in that oven for sure. Good fresh ingredients!

I've had pizza from Amore Pizza a few times now, and to me, it rates three stars. That may seem a bit harsh, but there are so many really great mom & pop pizza joints in Wallingford that it takes a really special pizza to rise above that three star average. Amore Pizza just doesn't. Listen, in many other markets this would be a four, or perhaps maybe even a five star pizza joint, but the quality of pies, grinders, calzones, and pasta dishes offered here relegate it to mediocrity in Wallingford. It's good pizza, not great pizza.

Pizza is fantastic! When they are busy, they are very busy!! The parking lot is so full! In my opinion, the pizza is a 9.5 out of 10. Crust is perfect, crunchy, chefs kiss! Second, you open the box, and the cheese is not dripping with oil, and you gotta soak it up with paper towels. Sliced good, sturdy pizza it's self holds up to the " fold," if you know, you know. All the add-on, not one issue. I even call and say what's good today? Even if they are in a rush, he will take the time to talk to you and not brush you off. I appreciate that 100% I've called soon as the opened, i need 5 pies by a certain time, when i arrived all done, perfect they gave me one cheese on the house( they had that policy years ago, not published but the never say no!!)🥰 I I've been very happy with them for many years Side note, I spoke with the owner about my issues of making my own pizza( bought dough or homemade). He talked to me while making a pie, and prepped and put dough in a container and handed it to me at no cost, said try this and let me know! I did not make it, put it in the freezer. Weeks later took it out like he suggested, oil the surface of the bowl, and let it rise. I'll tell you, it was fantastic! My own sauce, toppings, and I'd never go back to store bought dough again. Best around this side of town( and Neil's donuts right next door if you get there before...

I truly hope the owner of this restaurant reads this, because I don’t believe what we experienced tonight reflects the care and quality a business should stand for. The meal we received was highly disappointing. When customers spend their hard-earned money, they expect at the very least a satisfactory meal. Unfortunately, this experience showed little pride in what was delivered.

The mozzarella sticks were clearly store-bought and not freshly prepared. The cheese was dry, tough, and unmelted — something that cannot be blamed on the short delivery time. The penne alla vodka was just barely tolerable. It tasted more like seasoned water than a thoughtfully made dish. I only ate some of it because I was hungry, not because it was enjoyable.

This isn’t just about the money — it’s about pride, care, and respect for your customers. If you no longer want to be in business, then please allow someone who truly cares about food and service to take over. Customers deserve better, and I urge you to take more pride in what you serve.

A very concerned and...
