Oakdale Pizzeria — Restaurant in Wallingford

Update** as of 9/23- we ordered 2 pizza and a dinner and one pizza was burnt, the other was soggy, and the dinner was cold. My husband ended up with a stomach ache after dinner and through the night. I used to love this please but its quality has gone down significantly. This was our first time trying it again after about 2.5-3 years and I was hoping for the pizza we remembered but instead we were disappointed. I love going into the restaurant and feeling so welcomed, George and his wife (the owners) are always so friendly and sweet! The pizza is my favorite style and the prices are super reasonable, especially for a family on a budget. The buffalo wings are the bomb 🍗💣 everytime we order we get wings as well. So disappointed!! We have been ordering Oakdale Pizza for years and did not know they had sold the restaurant. When placing the order we were a little confused as it wasn’t a familiar voice who answered the phone, but thought maybe they hired some extra help. It was quite the surprise when I walked in and picked up my order.

It is not the same. Not even close. The prices have increased and the quality has decreased. The sauce tastes completely different. They put so much sauce on the pizza that globs of it were coming out of every bite. They barely put any toppings on the small pizza and every slice was floppy and soggy.

I wish I could have gotten the chance to say goodbye to the previous owners and order their pizza one last time before they sold it.

Terrible place to visit first time there I order an extra large pizza and got only 8 slices. Walked out very confused. When I called in to let them know what I paid for they were very rude. Then when I walked In to get a full refund I had all my food there I only ate one slice and my son ate one slice and we threw the rest of our slice out because we didn't like it. They started to refuse an 80$ refund. Yelling and trying to give me a gift card instead of a refund. Very sketchy and unprofessional place. I will never go back and I warn anyone to never go there.
