Hello everybody out there. I will be giving this pizza place a 4 star rating today for its Pizza. Every Pizza we've got from this place is good. There are several places in Wallingford that make pizzas that are good. This place , Minervini's, Fratelli's. They are both good in their own ways... I don't want to even get into the North Haven pizza places like Luigi's, Grand Apizza North , bar pizza! These are pizzas that are basically five stars This place serves a very thin crust pizza that stands up on its own..obviously the Milford location taught these people well. They really should keep one of their top Pizza makers here in Wallingford. This is the only way they will crack into the top of any pizza maker in this town. Trying to compete with Fratelli's which is right behind them. They are a true RESTURANT and Pizza Place. Everything that we've ordered from their appetizers to their Subs, wraps, and their pizzas have been very good. Last night I ordered a dinner and other things from their menu at this location. Making sure that I'm saying this location. It's obvious that the Milford location is set up much better than this one in Wallingford. The fried calamari was just tubes fried. Didn't have the rest of the calamari the way everybody else has it. Unfortunately I ordered a Silver Sands seafood dinner. (IT'S now obvious to me at this location they do not have the ability to a real dinner .) Which is supposed to come with a sauce with wine and butter. With shrimp ,clams ,calamari, and scallops in a white lemon butter sauce. I don't know who cooked this dinner. But that person had no clue what the f* they were doing at this location. I got a dinner that was nothing as described. The dinner came in an Incredibly thick putrid cheese sauce with tomato hints in the background. But this is not either it was just a putrid mixture of cheese and red sauce.. There were a little bit pieces of Sole. 3 shrimp in total. There were no clams at all in this dish. Real clams with their shells like any other Seafood dish that you could get at a real restaurant. Plus pieces of tubes of the calamari. And no scallops at all... What you would call real scallops.. I just got these little scallops that look like little peas.! I got completely ripped off with this dish. If this location can't do dinners the way they're offering them as a real restaurant would ,they should not offer them at all. They showed up at my house I and I gave them a huge tip. and got a seafood dish that was a piece of s*. so remember people out there pick and choose what you get from this location. They're not ready for primetime. Corporate that runs and owns these two locations have to get together and make sure what's on each other's menus correspond. Otherwise if this location in Wallingford cannot offer a real full menu. They should separate the menus between the two restaurants. Until then I'll be ordering just certain things from this location in Wallingford. Or I may just not order anything at all from this location anymore until they get...
Read moreI usually go here all the time to stop in quickly for lunch, grab a slice of pizza, get things to go. My family orders from here all the time and I would normally give them five stars. I'm not sure if there has been a change in management, but I was very unhappy with my last few experiences. Once or twice, I get it.. so I didn't say anything. The third time, the food came an hour and a half after it was ordered when they said $40 minutes. For two soups and 2 sandwiches. We called because it was really late and they said they were on their way, which someone may have forgot about. Still ok, it happens. However, when the food came everything was cold, the soups were sunken into the paper containers and the butter packets left on top had exploded over everything because of the heat from the soup.. I don't want the container folding into the soup, which normally doesn't happen but it clearly had been sitting there. The online menu prices were not "up to date" when it says it was updated 2 weeks ago.I called to complain, because I was very upset as my last few experiences were also not well and I did not say anything. The manager who was on at the time was saying I am looking at the wrong menu.. that those are the prices and that they can't do anything but give me a 10% discount next time on my order. I explained that I order here all of the time and the last few times were not great on top of the wait. I am mostly writing this because I want someone to take it to their attention, for service and speaking with customers rather than saying the price online is correct, when I am looking at it and it is not. The prices should be updated and I ended up throwing out both of the soups after eating a cold sandwich that took an hour an a half to get there. At least adjust the price to what it says online... it was just bad service experience and unfortunately even though I order from here a couple times a month, I will no longer be going here. It was very upsetting the way I was spoken to and how the situation was handled after being a loyal customer. I just looked at the website and 1 day ago it was updated. Should be updated and accurate to what the customer is ordering. I would have uploaded the picture but having trouble attaching it. Very disappointed on the customer service. Read moreLet me start with what I ordered. I ordered a party sized pizza which is twenty seven dollars. I ordered with sausage and meatball on one half.the other half i simply wanted half with broccoli and half plain cheese. Rather than the whole half be broccoli. Now I think it's a simple request. And I'm told by the women on the phone and i quote "oh she wont do that". First off whom is she? Second off....i said....so she cant sprinkle.broccoli on one corner for me? ....to which the lady on the phone chuckled and said "oh she wont do that". Never bothered to ask whoever this "she" person is. Ended up getting half broccoli and half meat. The pizza is absolutely great here, but the customer service is terrible. Whoever answers the phone's needs a lesson in the customer is always right. Especially if they aren't even going to ask the cook while they are on the phone, whether or not they are willing to do something for a customer. If my request was gonna grossly impact, anybody's ability to do their job in an efficient way or to make money....pizza is the wrong business for these guys. Unwilling completely.
