Local Mexican restaurant with self-service salsa bar and great wet burritos. Located right on Valley, this has been a long-standing spot for me to come to whenever I want a deluxe burrito with green enchilada sauce. The burritos are big and reasonably priced. They have rice and beans inside, and you have your choice of meat (ie carne asada, machacha, carnitas, etc). There are some vegetarian options as well, since they do have chile relleno. I noticed quite a few people get the seafood, and they have fried fish plates. If you eat in, you can help yourself to the chips and salsa bar. The chipotle salsa (mild spice) has a deep, smokey flavor and is unique to most other salsas you’d usually see, while the hot tomato salsa gives a nice heat. The pico de gallo is also a good option, and is mild. They have alcohol, and they do take credit card ($7 minimum). Bathrooms are available in the hallway by the salsa bar, and there’s no free WiFi. They have a parking lot in the front and usually spots are open - if not, then it’s usually a short wait for someone to pull out.

Please DO NOT order this food to go in the morning like my girlfriend and I did this morning. Currently quarantined and I know they say its hard to taste anything when sick with the Vid but my God 0 absolutely 0 taste. This morning on my huevos con chilequiles, the rice and beans looks like someone puked on my plate its so wet. The rice is tasteless, I can feel it in my mouth but thats it. The actual huevos con chiliquiles looks like precooked lasagna and has a very mushy consistency. Thankfully uber was able to issue me a refund because the attached pictures are as far as I'm willing to go eating this. Moved recently from LA and this is a sad excuse for real Mexican food

Sometimes some of your best meals are found off the beaten track. Such as this place. You could easily drive by and miss it off you're not looking. Butt once inside you place your order, sorry down D wait for your Ford that comes out surpassingly quick and it's piping hot. Can I just tell you that the Al pastor is seasoned perfectly. Full of flavor and the carne asada tacos that I ordered we're just as delicious. The owner I think it's very hospitable and welcoming, treaty you like you're a guest inn the house and makes sure you have everything you need. Go have yourself some great Mexican food and support this local business

I just ate there with my husband. I have been on a quest for finding the home made authentic Mexican enchilada and menudo for a while. So I have been visiting different Mexican Restaurants to find the good home made Mexican food. We found this restaurant looking at the good review. We ordered Enchilada combo and Taquitos combo. I also had menudo to go. The food is good. I like the menudo very much. That said, I will not go back to that restaurant. Both of us had rice that was so dry we could not even had one spoonful of rice because the dried rice hurt our teeth. They eventually gave me new rice when I walked up to the front and explain the situation. To me that was an insult. They must know perfectly well that dried rice was too dry to serve to anyone. They had guts to serve that kind of rice to us. Worst experience in years from...

I recently had the pleasure of lunching at MIKASA restaurant in Walnut, and it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting and the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly.

The menu offers a fantastic variety of dishes, each prepared with fresh ingredients and beautifully presented. We particularly enjoyed the menudo con pata, taquitos, ceviche de mariscos, burritos which was some of the best I've ever had. The flavors were exquisite, and the portions were generous.

The service was impeccable, with the staff making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. The attention to detail and the quality of the food truly set MIKASA apart.

Overall, MIKASA restaurant exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch experience. I will definitely be...
