MING CHA — Restaurant in Walnut

I’ve always heard good things about Ming Cha, but decided to finally make the visit—and it was worth it! Upon arriving, we noticed the clean, minimalist interior and some limited seating inside. When I saw the menu, I was immediately super excited to try out the different boba toppings! I don’t think I’ve ever had water chestnut boba, red bean boba, or barley boba before!! I feel like in SGV’s saturated boba scene, the toppings can easily become an afterthought but not here. The boba topping itself was amazing! I couldn’t believe how real each tasted and how they could even concentrate that flavor and taste in something so small.

I'm happy theres a new boba tea shop opened in the area. There are 4-5 thats closed by but those are either boba chain store thats not heavy on quality drinks or too sugary ( ten ren or ding tea ) or the tea from boba place is not that heavy.

THIS place, Ming Cha, has some heavy tea taste in at least a few of their options especially their milk teas. I'm in love with their Hojicha milk tea and their oolong milk teas! Highly recommended!! They also have the mango refresher which the mango flavor blends in well with the green tea, you cann taste the tea and mango!

The place has a couple self-serve machines where you can order it on yourself or a barista can assist in ordering as well. The shop is not that big but there are 3-4 seats/table where you can sit and chill or do your work there and hang. The owner mentioned that there will be snacks to order...

Came here to try for the yelp event! The place looks very modern, some nice decor. It isn’t that big of a place, so if you have a big group keep that in mind. This tea shop is very close to Walnut High.

I tried the Yuzu green tea, and also tried the Oolong Milk Tea. The green tea drink I believe could have had a bit more green tea ratio, but I did enjoy the Oolong. I saw some people talk about the lack of choices but I actually like places that don’t have too much on their menu, I believe this helps to make their offered drinks better and not so hard for customers.

I liked that the place was clean and that you can order your own drinks on the side with the touch screen menu. If I am in the area I would stop by again for their Oolong and Agar...
