I ordered 3 large subs for delivery online a few nights ago and it said online that I had to call them and give them my card info over the phone... Ok no problem, so I did... Then about 15 minutes, I got a call saying they "did not have 'large' subs and had to give me 'small' subs instead." Rather than giving me the option to cancel or change my order, they claimed since I had already paid I could just 'add an order of mozz sticks if I wanted, to make up the difference'. Considering 2 of my friends didn't eat cheese, I asked if I could just get an order of chicken fingers instead. Ok that's fine, I was told. So fast forward to 3 days later, I look at my bank account, and they charged me $5 more for that order! So basically I paid for 3 large subs (they gave me smalls) and paid for an order of chicken fingers I didn't order that I was told I could have for free to make up for the fact that THEY DID NOT HAVE the food that I ordered. Wow. I would not recommend Lena's as they just FRAUDULENTLY charged me. Oh, almost forgot, last time I ordered here, I ordered a 'Sicilian Pizza' and basically was given a pizza calzone that was undercooked and doughy. I guess that's what they think a Sicilian pizza is. I have a feeling a lot of these positive reviews (not all of them) are fakes. DONT WASTE...
Read moreThis is my first time ever writing a review, and I wish it were a good one — but here we are. I ordered the Everything Calzone, and honestly, it was so bad I feel like Italians would invade the US just to stop stuff like this from being made.
First off, there was broccoli inside. It wasn’t listed anywhere in the ingredients. Broccoli in a calzone makes about as much sense as putting pasta in sushi — it just doesn’t belong, and it tasted weird.
Second, the sausage and mushrooms were not done right. Ingredients like that either need more time to cook or just shouldn’t be there. They tasted half-cooked and off.
Third, why was the tomato sauce on the side? Calzones (and pizzas in general) are supposed to have the sauce inside. Serving it on the side just made the whole thing feel even more wrong.
I respect people running a business, but charging $20 for something like this should...
Read moreGot a Margherita pizza here. Was a little let down that it didn't have red sauce or more detectable garlic or basil on it. Still, I'm rating as highly as I am because the cheese, overall flavor, and crust was fantastic. The crust in particular is a real star here - it has a wonderful chewy texture to it. I will be back and trying a different type of pie, and I may up my rating later on after that.
Edit: Got a half-pepperoni, half-cheese next time. Honestly, the Margherita is the one to go with still as there is verrrry little red sauce used on a regular pie and in my opinion the juiciness of the tomatoes on top in the Marg adds a lot to balance out the textures.
Interior is small, only 3 tables. Perhaps fine for a date or quick bite after drinks but grab 'n' go is your...
