Let me start by saying I’m a foodie and admittedly a bit of a food snob. I love farm-to-table dining, house-made baked treats, and any spot that combines a relaxed vibe with great service. With friends coming into town for a canal walk, we decided to meet at Loafy for brunch.
The menu was expansive and creative, with some unexpected ethnic touches, including Vietnamese dishes and coffee. The atmosphere was lively (and a little loud at first), but it mellowed out midway through, which made it easier to really enjoy the experience.
Service was excellent, our server was warm, attentive, and guided us through the menu with ease. I ordered the Bánh Mì, which had wonderfully fresh and flavorful fillings. My only critique: I would’ve preferred a different bread, something crusty on the outside and soft inside to balance the textures. One friend raved about her chicken and waffles, while another ordered waffles topped with apples, bananas, and caramel sauce, which looked absolutely divine.

I recently visited Loafy Lark, and I have to say—it’s an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. The décor is modern yet cozy, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive.
Now, let’s talk about the food—WOW! I ordered the Steak Benedict, and it was hands-down one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. The eggs were cooked to perfection. My friend ordered the Uova in Purgatorio, and it was flavorful, and the house-made spicy tomato sauce was a game-changer. You can tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients.
To top it off, their coffee is outstanding—smooth, rich, and the perfect start to the day. Whether you’re a fan of classic breakfast dishes or looking for something unique, this place has something for everyone.
If you’re looking for a new favorite breakfast spot, Loafy Lark should be at the top of your list. I can’t wait to come back and try more of their...
Read moreRestaurant was clean! Service was fast and friendly. The chairs weren't very comfortable but not a big deal. Coffee is some of the best I've had. Menu has many options, and some one-off breakfast dishes. I ordered the loaded lark breakfast. The fried chicken and hot honey was good. Sunnyside up eggs were cooked perfectly. The pancakes were slightly undercooked and gooey in the middle. The gravy was excellent but they served it over my English muffin which I thought was supposed to be served on the side and the gravy was supposed to be served over biscuits, either it was good. My one gripe would be the homefries. I like the real potato's cooked on a grill top, not the oven baked variety they serve. All said, food was fresh and above average. I'll...
