Debbie's Tavern WarminsterPa — Restaurant in Warminster Township

Let me preface this by saying my issue isnt with debbie as an establishment, but with their karaoke DJ: an employee. The bar itself is lovely, it simply suffers from one problematic detail.

My friend who is a regular at Debbie's karaoke had brought another friend out for the first time. The second friend had never been to Debbies before--ever. And his first experience was terrible. We will not be back so long as DJ pat is there. A white man had gotten on stage and sang a song with the N word in it and this guy was FREELY singing in front of my two friends--both of which are black and several of our white friends who were also VERY uncomfortable and offended. My friend had considered DJ pat a friend and he had expressed his discomfort and rather than be supportive and apologize to my friend, pat proceeded to gas light and guilt my friend because HE didn't think it 'was a big deal' he's white--of course he think his opinion matters on this subject.

My friends were deeply hurt by this. Towards the end pat had tried to backpeddle on this and started apologizing but it was ABSOLUTELY too late. My friends and I will come back when dj pat no longer works there.

I come here on occasion with my friends for karaoke. Last night a white singer dropped the n word in a song. My two black friends (one who's first time it was at Debbie's) were very upset and approached the DJ about it. Pat (the DJ) threw it back in their face and tried to justify that it was part of the song and he couldn't do anything about it.

Highly disappointed with the way it was handled. Our group will not be frequenting here...
