Bagels-4-U of Warren — Restaurant in Warren Township

Zero Stars is more appropriate, but I'll give 1 just to leave this review. To anyone considering going here, take this advice....GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! TRUST ME, CHOSE ANOTHER PLACE TO GET BREAKFAST OR LUNCH! If you don't take my advice, you may want to bring a book with you or possibly download a movie on your phone or tablet because no matter the time day or day of the week, you will wait so long for simply 1 order, that you may not even be hungry once your order is ready. Don't even attempt this place on your way to work or bringing your kids to school, you will definitely be late. Let me also stop you before you think, well I'll just call ahead so it's ready when I get there...WRONG! Last time I tried that, 25 minutes I called ahead gave my very simple order of a bacon/egg/ cheese on a bagel & guess what? Forget not even ready, they never even wrote it down! Maybe there other locations are great, maybe there just the same as the Warren spot, but I won't find out because I will never return unless it's under new ownership.

To the owner, the two times I've actually eaten your bagels, they are very good. Your food is not your issue, it's the customer experience that's the problem. I would suggest a change in management or hire some people that have worked in a bagel store before. You simply need someone handling the register at all times, 2 people taking orders & someone executing from the grill, maybe 2 cooks at once. The business model of 1 order at a time & the worker doesn't move on to another customer until the entire order is complete is a model for failure. People want quick & convenience. If I want to wait 15-20 minutes, I'll go to a diner & sit down for breakfast. Hopefully you make some changes as your the closest place to my home & commute to work. Let me start with the two positives which justify the two-star rating. The staff is friendly and pleasant to interact with. When the correct order was received, my breakfast sanwich tasted good. That being said, I won't be going back. My last visit was the last straw for me where they tried to overcharge. I went here approximately 6 times, payed the same overpriced $10.50 each time for the same breakfast sandwich. They tried to charge more this time and only fixed it after I insisted the price was wrong based on past purchases. Of my total visits, the order was wrong at least 3 times. I think part of the issue is taking/writing orders on post-its where full words or clear abbreviations are not used so the exact order can get lost by the time 2 or 3 pairs of eyes have seen it. During my second to last visit, I waited nearly 25 minutes and the order was still wrong. I just had to ask for a refund and leave as I had no more time to waste waiting. I wouldn't even give this place one star. I have went here on countless occasions trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but today I had to walk out. This place has the worse service you could imagine.That is not being dramatic. They have screwed up my order countless times regardless to what I have ordered. They just cannot get it right. They also roll out of bed and leave their pj's on because many times I have walked in to find them in pj's. Today I walked in, stood in line, and waited for a solid 10 mins without a single acknowledgement. I waited for one lady to get off the phone from taking an order in hopes that she would inform me that she would be with me in a second. Nope, didn't happen. She went to fulfilling the order that she took over the phone without acknowledgement as well. I waited around a few more minutes while watching one lady straighten out bags next to the counter.
