This restaurant can easily be passed by as it’s behind a shopping center. Im so glad I was able to find this restaurant through Yelp otherwise I would never knew it existed! They have a really nice menu selection, and everything was reasonably priced too. For appetizers we had the tempura battered stuffed zucchini flowered and the melenzana. The stuffed zucchini flowered were excellent, and I highly recommend ordering it! The melenzana was good just not nearly as good as the stuffed zucchini flowers! For entrees we the veal chop parmesan and the house made pasta purses stuffed with pear and Parmesan in a brown butter sauce. The veal chop parmesan was DELICIOUS! It was nice and tender, and the sauce was packed with flavor. It was a huge dish, but it was so good I finished the whole thing! The house made pasta purses were good, but it needed more brown butter sauce. We also felt the sauce could of been better to that dish. For desserts we ordered the Nutella stuffed ice cream waffle sandwich and the lava cake. I had asked the waiter prior to ordering the lava cake if it was house made which he told me it was otherwise I would of never ordered it. Turns out the lava cake was not house made, and it was not good at all! Skip the lava cane for sure! The waffle sandwich I asked for it to come with Nutella, and it was very good! It could of been better if made with better tasting ice cream though! The ice cream wasn’t that great! A restaurant of this caliber should be serving Haagen Dazs or Ben and Jerry’s for their customers if they can’t make it house made. We really enjoyed are meal here, and I highly recommend dining at Saly G’s Restaurant and...

Had really high expectations based on the menu selection and a recommendation, but was seriously let down by food, service, and atmosphere.

This gives tavern/dive bar vibes over a fine dining/white tablecloth experience.

We were seated in a dark, drafty, back section of the restaurant immediately off the kitchen and bar, under a speaker blaring a weird mix of techno/club music.

The server greeted us with “Hey what-do-ya-want” attitude. He was not only inattentive but the menu was seemingly foreign to him. Upon inquiring what the salmon was served with, I was met with a blank stare, a few “uh’s”, then he went line by line through the menu, when he came up short, he took a shot in the dark and said “over a bed of spinach, I think” ... it came out with green beans and potatoes. And thank god it did, because the vegetables were the only thing edible on the plate. The salmon was so severely overcooked that the ends were curling, the only way to break a piece off was by knife, and the texture resembled dry chicken. Better service and better salmon is prepared and served at low-quality chain restaurants.

The cesar salad was bone dry with couple croutons and a shaved parm that could be identified if you squinted hard enough - how you do drop the ball on a cesar salad?

The only thing going was the drinks, but boy do you need a few first if you’re going to eat here.

Granted, every restaurant and server has a “bad day” but you would think they’d bring their A-game on Valentines Day weekend.

This is everything you would expect from a restaurant located in the back of an Acme...

Horrible! Don't bother going... Husband and I wanted a new find restaurant for our 24th Anniversary tonight! Didnt deliver on any part of it! Overpriced drink, dreadful food! Whoever frequents this restaurant and even bothers to take the time to rate it at all...shame on u! Waiter didn't give me the time of day for perhaps a signature drink! I went to the bar to find perhaps an offering..asked what was my tastes... Got a decent monjito for $20! Yes! I said that! Food tasteless & overpriced. We're having a fig vodka at Martinsvile tavern..( hubby wanted to make the horrible experience up to me!) 2 fab drinks for the price of my pretend made for me signature ( Mojito) for $20! Seriously ! Not nice Saly G...who ever u are! We will stick to Alfie's ( honest good food restaurant and staff!) And now..new cozy fab place at relatable prices..MARTINSVILLE TAVERN who honestly saved our 24th Anniversary

Sorry peeps I never bother to write reveiws..but sad we went to Saly G's for this special occasion..( whoops.....now I owe the hubby girls....) just remove it from any go to list! I gave u 2...

Excellent food, service and ambiance. Love the decor with touches of gold. The gold lamps on the table are adorable and not too bright! The bar when you walk in is huge and with a few TV’s, you can come here for any mood: you want a cocktail and app at the bar to watch the game or a for a nice upscale sit down dinner. We tried everything, every dish was incredible. The truffle gnocchi is fluffy and out of this world! Steak, meatballs and shrimp appetizer were incredible. Obviously the angry chicken park is a staple - where else are you getting that? - is served with a diff presentation too on the cutting board. Highly recommend and about to be our new go to spot.

Saly G’s is my favorite restaurant in the area. Delicious food- you have to try the pillowy soft truffle gnocchi. I love Saly G’s so much so that I decided to have my bridal shower here. Joe was welcoming, accommodating, and great to work with. In a world where we are nickeled and dimed for everything, it was so refreshing to work with someone who offered fair prices and prioritized the customer. They were able to accommodate vegetarian and gluten-free guests. The shower was perfect. Thank you Joe and the wonderful Saly G’s staff for an unforgettable day!
