I came here with my friends, I live in town. The vibe reminded me of a hip Mexican restaurant I'd find in Miami, with the Miami hefty prices. It had a vibrant, and cool feel almost electric. On the walls were flat screens with music videos playing. There's a nice bar and if your into good tequilas, this is the place for you. My girlfriend's and I made a reservation and were seated promptly. On the table came fresh chips and salsa which were good. My friend and I both ordered a Frozen Mango Margarita. It was decorated with a pretty flower and rimmed salt. The drink was good, nothing special but pricey at $15. I chose for my entree TACOS DE PESCADO- it consisted of 3 Cod Fish Tacos served with Avocado Slaw, Pico de Gallo, in a tequila, lime, cilantro sauce($23.) It had good flavor but what surprised me is this dish didn't come with anything. No rice and beans like most Mexican restaurants serve, even in Miami. Not knowing the price, I ordered a side of rice and beans when I got the bill I couldn't believe I was charged $6 for a tiny little bowl of hard rice and $6 for a tiny little bowl of black beans. My suggestion is skip it completely not worth $12 extra. So it cost a total of $35 for 3 fish tacos, and rice and beans. That is expensive! It was good, but definitely not worth $35. My friend ordered TACOS DE CAMARÓN- 3 Shrimp Tacos topped with Pineapple, Pico de Gallo, and Sweet Chili Mango Sauce ($23) She enjoyed her meal. My other friend ordered a QUESADILLAS CHIQUITAS- a Mexican blend of cheeses topped with peppers, onions, sour cream, and guacamole pico de gallo, and queso fresco with a tequila, cilantro, lime dressing. ($17.) It was served very uniquely. (See pictures.) My other friend ordered basic CHICKEN TACOS- 4 chicken tacos, salsa roja, verde onions, and cilantro. ($22.) You can't mix the difference taco choices. She also ordered a side of rice and beans not knowing it was an ($12.) She paid $34 for chicken tacos and rice and beans. The food was good, but for me not worth the hefty price. I guess because it's Warren the prices are definitely more expensive like some of the other restaurants in town. I eat really authentic Mexican food all the time and it's no where near these prices. If you order a dinner it starts at ($28 )and goes up to ($37) for Skirt steak. The staff was very nice. My server was good, but there was somewhat of a language barrier. There was a manager on the floor walking around and greeting customers. They do offer KIDS MEALS- chicken fingers & fries, kids quesadilla & fries, kids taco just meat & cheese & fries, and mozzarella sticks & fries. ($15) They offer 2 SOUPS- Cream of broccoli, and Sopa del dia each ($11.) I only saw one DESSERT- Mexican Churros. ($11.) There is free parking in their lot. If your handicapped they have handicap parking, and I believe you can be accommodated. Call ahead to double check. I would return, but I'd make...
Read moreCute decor, however there was a ceiling fan that kept making a flashing light with strobe effect and that was bothersome. I just tried to ignore it. I went at 5p before it was crowded (only me and two other tables had customers) so I was hopeful that I could get in/out quickly. The service was terrible. While everyone smiled at me, it took about 12-15 min before someone took my order. The food took about 15 min (the chips/salsa did come out pretty quick so that was nice to tide me over). The waitress never came back to give me a refill on my iced tea the whole time I was there. She never even checked on me or asked how everything was. When I was ready to go, I had to flag down the bartender (who I made eye contact with) just so I could get my check. The service was terrible. She only took my order then never came back again until I had to ask for a check.
The food was good and looks pretty. I did enjoy the salsa and the chips were fresh and crispy. The guacamole had something in it that was tad bitter, almost like vinegar. I’m assuming it was just too much lime. I had to add my own salt/pepper to jazz it up. The tacos al pastor were good. I like the tomatillo salsa on the side - if you do not care for cilantro this is not the dish for you because it definitely was overloaded. I didn’t mind it, but I was a tad disappointed that the radish was not fresh/crispy. They were almost like cardboard with no flavor. Like, how is that even possible? It’s a radish. It should have had some bite to it. The menu itself isn’t huge, but they did have some interesting selections. I’m from Texas and this was definitely not Tex-Mex, but is a spin on more traditional Mexican food.
Even though I was not happy with the service, I would still go back and give it another try with something else...

We recently hosted our youngest daughter’s college graduation celebration at La Colina Mexican Cantina, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish!
The food was absolutely amazing—authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was a hit. The margaritas were to die for, perfectly crafted and refreshing, honestly some of the best we’ve ever had!
But what truly made the evening shine was the incredible service. From the warm welcome to the seamless coordination, everything was handled with genuine care and professionalism. Andrea, the manager, was simply outstanding. She went above and beyond in every possible way—thoughtful, attentive, and so kind. She made us feel like family and ensured every detail of our celebration was just right.
The waitstaff was equally impressive—courteous, responsive, and genuinely friendly. We never had to ask twice for anything, and every guest felt completely taken care of.
A major bonus for our family was how accessible the restaurant is for guests with mobility challenges. My 75-year-old family member uses a power wheelchair, and the layout, entrances, and table arrangements made it incredibly comfortable and stress-free for them to enjoy the celebration right alongside everyone else. That kind of thoughtful accessibility is rare and deeply appreciated.
If you’re looking for a place to celebrate a milestone—or just enjoy an amazing meal with wonderful service—La Colina Mexican Cantina is the place. Huge thanks to Andrea and the entire team for making our daughter’s graduation celebration so special and memorable!
