Very Disappointed! While I did appreciate the warm welcome upon entering the store I don’t appreciate the lack of courtesy or accommodation when making a purchase! I entered the store around 2:30pm today and just ordered the first thing I saw “pizza” which was $4 a slice. I was immediately rung up and while waiting for it to warm up, I noticed a “lunch special” including a beverage for $6 more so I inquired if I could get the lunch special instead. The cashier was perplexed and did not know how to refund my money in order for me to instead be rang up for the lunch special. Keep in mind, the pizza never left the side of the counter where the cashier was. Upon my request to switch my order, she proceeds to aimlessly look for her manager who she reported back to me that “He said he cannot deduct the $4 off my order for me to get the $9.99 lunch special”. This is exactly why I dislike someone speaking for me because that was not my request so I couldn’t believe my ears! My thoughts, as I was thee only customer in the store “why couldn’t the manager who greeted me come up here to hear my request/concern to explain what he can and can’t do? Why couldnt your cashier understand I am not asking for a deduction but a refund on pizza u heated up for 2 mins so that I can get a meal? I literally asked her about this while the pizza was in the oven for 1minute. Lastly, why are you not willing to accommodate such a small request when your cooks have no orders to make, no food was touched, exchanged nor damaged, and when did refunding a order become something so misunderstood or misinterpreted? I decided to just leave because I was on my lunch break so I had no time to deal this however, I felt it was necessary to share my disappointing experience and hope they can improve trainings that teach their cashiers how to troubleshoot a a simple refund request and encourage management to be front and center to assist in customer support and...
Read moreSECOND REVIEW. After I posted a very positive 5-star review a short time ago, I returned to Sopranos a week later for a take-out order. I paid using my DEBIT card, as always. However when I returned home and viewed my receipt, something did not seem right. After doing the math, twice, I learned I had been charged an additional 3 percent. (???) So of copurse I called them. A gentleman that would only ID himself as "one of the managers" explained the additional 3% is for using a credit card instead of cash, and that they were merely passing the additional cost of accepting/processing "credit cards" onto the customer. Except for one thing. Not only did I use a debit card, not a credit card, and therefore there is no "additional cost", the additional cost was not explained to me nor is their "policy" posted anywhere in the store despite him telling me there is a sign on the front door. THERE IS NOT. When I asked how long they have been doing this to their customers, I was told, and I quote, "since we remodeled the place 2 years ago." Enough said. At no time was I offered a refund, free soda, nothing. NEVER going back. FIRST REVIEW. My wife and I stopped in to Sopranos Restaurant for a quick, mid-week lunch. WOW, are we happy we did. We have driven by them for many years without going in. My wife and I agree, it was the best pizza we have EVER had. I enjoyed 2 slices, Buffalo Chicken and the Cheesesteak. My wife had a slice of Sicilian. Amazing. Sal stopped by our table to ensure everything was to our liking. We had no problem telling him that despite the fact we live 20 minutes away, Sopranos is now our Go-To Italian Restaurant. I can't wait to try their wings, platters,...
Read moreWe just moved to the area and received a coupon in the mail for "1 Free Pizza" with the only stipulation being that we must be a new customer. The picture on the coupon showed a veggie style pizza so I decided to order that since it looked good. I called and placed my order. When I went to pick up the pizza, I was told that the coupon can't be used for it and it was only good for a plain pizza. I said that there wasn't anything stipulated by that on the coupon and I was told that it was "implied" that it was only for a plain pizza. Confused, but still hungry, I offered to pay the difference for the veggies. A man behind the cashier blurted out that "We can't do that!" I had offered to pay the difference when I didn't think I had to and was still denied. I went in with the expectation of a free pizza for being a new customer and left hungry and confused without any pizza. I can't review the quality of the food because I never got any. There was an opportunity for the business to earn a new customer but I see no reason to go back. See picture of...
