I used Sophia’s to cater teacher appreciation luncheon back in May. I had the privilege of working closely with the owner Chris to make sure we pulled off a seamless lunch for our teachers and staff. I submitted a request for a quote to do this luncheon with 4-5 local restaurants Chris was one of two that actually contacted me back. He got back to me within an hour or so of my request. I told him my budget and he came back with a full menu of options that he could provide in that range. After looking over the options that Sophia’s as well as the other restaurant Chris had offered us the best prices and options for our teachers. He even was generous enough to donate a gift card that we could raffle off to the teachers. Chris not only was easy to work with but the food... was spectacular. He provided us with Large portions of delicious food. Our teachers and staff raved about how good it was. Sophia’s Tuscan Grille really went above and beyond for us. They are a staple in the community and really helped to support our local school. I can not say enough positive words about the owner and all staff at Sophia’s. Ok, came here based on many recommendations from Barrington Facebook page (and Warwick). Food was pretty good. Servers were super attentive! It took an hour for our meal to come out and we were telling the server that we wanted to pay for our apps and cancel the dinner (at that point it still wasn’t out yet). The owner came right out and said she was comping the whole meal. Truly we had to get going and didn’t plan on dinner taking so long so we said it was ok. She said let me at least give you the meal to go free. We decided to stay and I insisted on paying for the meal and she insisted on me not paying. I told her I was paying for at least half. She agreed. The reason for 5 stars is because it’s not always about the mistakes that happen, it’s how they’re handled. Even just offering to comp our entire meal that was well over $100 AND having attentive staff that never let our drinks get empty deserve this rating. We too own a business and would/have offered the same when something happens (even if out of our control).
