El Pueblo Mexican Carry out — Restaurant in Washington Charter Township

Sadly our food was really, really bad today. I ordered the nachos with carne asada and 2 large menudos. When I got home, the cilantro for the menudo was already wilted and dark brown and the nachos had a really bad odor. I tasted the cheese and crema and it was so bad. I took the food back and explained that I thought the sour cream was spoiled and turns out the crema they use just tastes super different than sour cream. They were really nice and remade the nachos for me and replaced the bag of cilantro/ onions. So I get home with the fresh nachos and taste them and the spoiled taste isn’t gone. Turns out the nacho cheese was spoiled. Just check your food flavor before leaving to make sure everything is good. Accidents happen and all but there should be better quality control considering I spent nearly 65 dollars on two large menudos( was way too spicy and had no hominy and little meat😞) the nachos 2 drinks and a couple bags of pan dulce. The food was really very good and authentic. Flavors were great and quality for price was good as well. We got the barbacoa and tamales. The tamales were amazing, really good flavor and good sized. The barbacoa was really good to it was just a little fatty. The corn she'll seemed fresh made there and the Verde it came with had great flavor. The came with a nice size lime as well. I only gave a 4 on food because the temperature didn't seem quite hot enough and we didn't even take it home to eat it. We ate it there. Seemed room temp. And the 4 for atmosphere is because we ate at the tables outside and they were quite dirty with old food and bird droppings. It just needs to be sprayed down once a day and it would be much better. I ordered from this place for the 1st time with high expectations and unfortunately it was a total fail. The advertising with the pictures and description doesn't match what they provide. When you order tacos make sure to remember you're getting 2 tortillas not 2 tacos like the picture shows (even though it already shows 2 tortillas) when calling to ask to get the rest of my food, the owner Eddie made it seem like it would be no problem in to come get my food yet once I got there he continued to try to explain his advertising and why it was the way it was instead of replacing my food.
