Capelli Collective — Local services in Washington Charter Township

First things first -Every stylist in this salon is "really, really, ridiculously good looking (If you did not get this reference, then please continuing reading this review only after watching Zoolander)." Anyways, appearance was very important to me, considering I was looking for an expert that could turn my "frumpy finals-week" look into something fabulous.

Now, I have been disappointed many times before at other salons in Rochester, Rochester Hills, Auburn Hills, and even Ann Arbor, so this time I was determined to put some effort into finding the right hair stylist. After searching the internet and asking around, I decided to make an appointment at Capelli's. I was initially greeted by the receptionist (Heather), she was very kind and explained all the different services Capelli's had to offer. I also explained I had curly hair and I was looking for a curly hair expert. Although Heather mentioned that everyone in the store was more than capable of cutting curly hair, she booked me an appointment with one of their best stylists, Katie Russo. Katie Russo did a wonderful job, and I left the place feeling gorgeous, like every girl should after leaving the salon.

Originally, I was just going get a trim (and get a feeling for the place), but after entering the salon and being greeted with such warm hospitality, I just felt like I could trust my surroundings.

So I decided to go all out, and went for a full-blown hair package (treatment, cut, and style) and I had my eyebrows waxed for the first time (Shh, the latter is a secret). I was afraid it would be painful and that my naturally thick eyebrows would be reduced to little thin eyebrows. Wow was I wrong! It was NOT painful at ALL, and my eyebrows now look better than ever before!

I am so happy with my new look! Thank you Katie Russo and everyone else at Capelli Hair Salon for caring about your customers and making us look fabulous. I will be back!

I've been here twice now (and have my next appointment scheduled already) so I decided it's time for a review.

I see Katie Russo, and it's clear she truly cares about what she does and takes the time to do a great job. I've had my hair trimmed twice and my color touched up once, and she always listens to my hopes and dreams for my hair and gets it perfect every time! I've had trouble in the past with stylists giving my long, thick hair chunky blunt ends even when I request otherwise -- which results in big blocks of hair that stick out and look bulky -- but I don't have that problem with Katie!

While I haven't spent time with the other stylists here, it's clear by looking around that they are all happy to be there and enjoy what they're doing. A quick look at their instagram shows all of the continuing education they go through, which is nice to see to ensure that they're up with the latest trends and techniques.

I hired Chrissy and Christina at Capelli for makeup services for my wedding. Christina was great to work with, we exchanged many emails throughout the planning process, she was very prompt and always answered my questions. I had a makeup trial with Chrissy before the wedding and I was very pleased with her work. The wedding makeup was even better than the trial! I had Chrissy and Christina do makeup for myself, 4 bridesmaids and 2 moms and everyone’s makeup looked wonderful and age appropriate!
