Golden Toast Cafe — Restaurant in Washington Charter Township

The service was terrible. We waited for over 20 minutes for anyone to come by and take our order. When I told a manager that we had not been helped yet, they said they would send someone over. The waitress did come over, but said she needed more time before she could help us. After waiting for five minutes, I got up and got a different manager immediately came over and took our order. The original waitress got everything screwed up. We never received our drinks and my daughter’s meal was taken back four times to make it right. At that Point we asked for our food to be put in a to go container. When we were handed our bill, I was surprised to see that on our bill so I asked if they would take that off because they screwed up four times and my daughter never got to eat her meal. Or waitress thing at the Manager who told us she could not take that off the meal since we were getting it to go I explained to her the entire situation about our drinks never being brought and about how it took over 30 minutes for someone to come and take our order. The manager was extremely rude. That was the worst part of the whole experience. No one ever apologized and we will not be going...

We came here today thinking that this was still the pantry. My wife has celiac disease so we like to go to the pantry to have a variety of options for her for her breakfast selections since they have the largest out of all of them. We went there. Out it's not that anymore. Ahead and ordered breakfast. Breakfast was subpar. Eggs were good. Bacon and sausage were cooked perfectly, although I think they're different than they used to have. The ham is about the quarter size of what the portion used to be and it is not the greatest ham in the world. The potatoes if not for the onions we added to it would have been unedible. They were bland overcooked and lacking any type of seasoning whatsoever. Colleen, our server was extremely helpful. Very friendly. Very courteous and even took time with the elderly couple behind our booth to stop and talk to them for a few minutes. The only thing that changed about the actual restaurant was the name the inside. It still looks the same. They just took down a bunch of the pictures. Most of the bit walls are bare will not be coming back to this place due to just the disappointment in the food that...

Every dish we ordered was absolutely amazing. The presentation was beautiful, 10/10 and everything tasted even better than it looked! The French toast with strawberries, bananas, Nutella, and powdered sugar were out of this world—light, fresh, and decadent. The cinnamon roll French toast was so fluffy and delicious. We also tried the omelets and pancakes, which were perfectly cooked and very filling. Their breakfast potatoes are also so flavorful! I can’t forget to mention how amazing the freshly squeezed orange juice is!!

The new owners/management are AMAZING!! Very good people and service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting—perfect for brunch with friends or family. You can tell they put a lot of care into both the food and the experience!!!!

Highly recommend Golden Toast Cafe for anyone looking for a quality breakfast or brunch spot. This is my new go to...
