Yesterday afternoon I stopped in on my bicycle with a friend. I know Sorrento 🍕 has been in business a long time (maybe not this particular store) but I wanted to see for myself how good it was. I asked the girl behind the counter if they had any slices. She said they did so I ordered one slice. When I sat down to eat it, the first thing I noticed was that the pepperoni didn't look right, it was brown and crusty on top. The whole slice just looked like it had been sitting out for far too long. I bit into it anyway and couldn't believe how utterly devoid of flavor it was. I promptly returned the slice and told the girl, "That is the lousiest pizza I've ever had, either take it back or give me a fresh slice." She promptly returned my money. I left the store still in disbelief that a reputable pizza chain like Sorrento could possibly serve pizza that bad. My two friends each ordered a small bowl of ice cream for themselves, one hazelnut and one coconut. They both said to me, "Here, try this." I tried both flavors and they were delicious! I think this store needs to rename itself...
Read moreWe've been frequenting this establishment for several years, but lately, we've noticed a decline in their standards. The restroom cleanliness is an issue, the late-night staff closes up shop prematurely, and the pizza preparation leaves much to be desired – often undercooked, requiring us to send it back for proper cooking. Our latest attempt at this resulted in disappointment as they closed just after serving us at 8:15 PM. While we used to enjoy our visits here, the current experience doesn't justify the high pizza prices. One instance involved a 17.99-dollar "Big Fat Greek" small square pizza with the lettuce beneath the cheese remaining crunchy, and the dough turning out squishy. It's possible that rushed staff, perhaps eager to leave for the night, contributed to...
Read moreTried Sorrento’s for the first time today, and I have to say I am beyond impressed!! The pizza was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection, with a perfect balance of crispy crust, rich sauce, and crispy pepperoni. Not to mention the cheese bread that I’m taking a bite out of as I’m typing this! You can tell as soon as you take the first bite that they use quality ingredients. Anthony greeted me with kindness and respect, which instantly made the place feel welcoming. You can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and takes pride in what he does. Between the great food and the way they treat their customers, I’ll definitely be coming back. If you haven’t been here yet, do yourself a favor...
