Scoopy's Ice Cream and Water Ice — Restaurant in Washington Township

Stick to ice cream. We will never order food from here ever again. We always go here to get ice cream/dole whips. We wanted to grab a little bite to eat along with our ice cream, so decided to place a pickup order. I waited 30 minutes to get there to pick up the order. Get there, tell the girls the name on the order, then stood and waited. While waiting, a Doordarsh driver came in to pick up an order. He told them the name on the order and was told it would be "5 minutes". Him and I started talking, and we both knew damn well they hadn't even started making the food yet. (Because nobody was in the back to even make the food. Everybody was upfront). He waited probably 10 more minutes, then asked again how long, and was told "probably a few minutes". Long story short, he left without the food. And he said it's like this every single time and he actually refused another Doordash order for here while I was standing there talking to him. If you order food for pickup, they will NOT even begin making it until after you arrive there and stand there waiting for 20 minutes. Then they will start to make it. So it took an hour for me to get a couple "finger food" appetizers (that are just frozen and thrown in a fryer) and some dole whips. Then I get home and the "buffalo" wings that I ordered were dry, didn't even put any sauce on them. And no blue cheese either (that I paid extra for). We went to Scoopy’s recently because we wanted to explore further than just our usual ice cream shop in our own town. This place is amazing! Excellent selection of ice cream, water ice, dole whip, and other food.

Three members of my family came and each of us ordered something different. Though it was busy, we did not have to wait long to order nor to receive our order. The young woman at the counter was very patient and helpful with our daughter who tends to be very quiet. We went inside to order, but there is also a walk-up window outside. There was plenty of space to sit both inside and outside. We chose to sit outside. Nearby there was a small pond with ducks, geese, and other birds.

I usually never post reviews but the workers tonight were so awesome I just have to put it out there. I had to wait quite some time for my order (which I had no problem doing, they were busy and I have patience) and upon receiving my order, the man (I later found out his name is Chris D.) had apologized for the wait and tried offering me a discount and I told him its not necessary and no problem at all. Just now I received an email from Chris apologizing once more for the wait and still offering a discount, and if that doesn't prove that they care about their customers then I don't know what does!!
