On the whole it was an OK visit. The food was hot and flavor was decent. Not great (chicken quesadilla specifically), but decent.
There were only three people working the prep area at dinner time on Sunday evening. Actually two plus the cashier. They couldn’t keep up with orders despite, by all appearances, knowing what they’re doing as far as making the orders and getting them out. The line was typically 4-6 deep while I ate. They didn’t even have time to fill the napkin dispenser despite theee or four of us asking for napkins. There’s no way they could be able to take appropriate breaks or do proper cleaning. There was so much food spilled on the food prep counter, I wondered before my first bite if I would get food poisoning. The trash can beside the food prep counter was so full the employee had to carry a messed up order across the kitchen to dispose of it.
This was my first visit and I won’t be seeking it out as a destination.
To clarify, I think they employees knew what they were doing, there just weren’t enough of them. That’s 100% a...
Read moreThe food was amazing 5 out of 5 stars! The service was a bit sketch. Being my first time ever at a Taco John's I asked what was on a couple of different burritos. The cashier stood silent finally in an annoying tone she listed the ingredients. Then when asked about the boss burrito she said we can't make those tonight. I asked if yhe had any donuts available if so I'd like an order, she took a tone again with the cook when she told her to make them.
Mind you they have closing at 11pm on their door and web site. This is a truck stop there will be a steady stream being it's not even 10pm. The reason for not being able to make the burritos and the Quesadilla that someone else wanted was they already have their grill down for cleaning. While I know they get tired too and want to go home soon as possible. This is a business with an advertised closing time. It's kinda ridiculous to be cleaning the grill 2 hrs before closing.
Again food top notch!!! Service...
Read moreI eat here almost weekly, since opening
I went through the drive thru today Confirmed through the speaker box my items came with out onion due to an allergy. Was assured no onions on burritos and will be left off
I get the receipt and does not say minus onion. So for allergy safety I reasked to make sure
Got laughed at and was told that burrito does not have onions And window worker said "Hope you have a better day" very snarky
Called and talked to manager Mickey or Nickey. (Couldn't hear name very well)
She knew exactly who I was, so trash talking customers isn't protocol or professional And had snarky told me same as the worker I just wanted to let know the unprofessional and rude employees working window.
I've worked customer service for 7 years and 4.5 in management Never in my life have I treated customers in this manner, no matter how stressed I am
Please learn respect and how to handle customers concerns for safety of your...
