American Best Chicken & Waffle — Restaurant in Washington

I am HORRIFIED. My first time ordering from this place and I used Uber Eats. I ordered lamb biryani and cheesesteak with fries. The cheesesteak and fries were fine, but the biryani! A couple bites in I noticed the heat, why is this rice so spicy? Biryani isn't normally a spicy dish. A couple more bites in I crunched on a WHOLE CLOVE. That should have been my cue to stop and toss it in the garbage and I wish I had. I also crunched on a WHOLE CARDAMOM SEED. WHY didn't this cook remove the whole spices?? The very next bite I took I bit down on something hard. Hurt my teeth even. Spit it out clean it off only to see a WHOLE PLUM SEED! Who does this! Made me wonder what other garbage was just tossed in the food.. At this point I was so sick to my stomach I had to expel everything I ate. I'm disgusted, waiting for my refund from Uber. Please avoid the "indian" food...

My husband ordered a combo of eight fried wings and a small fried rice for $15. He was in a hurry to leave the area because of some sketchy people loitering outside, and unfortunately, he didn't check the box before he left. When he got home and opened the box, I actually laughed in disbelief. I've never seen "naked" fried chicken like this before. The wings barely have breading or batter on them. The sight of them is so unappetizing that I don't even want to taste them. The only reason we ordered from this place was to sample the chicken for a potential large brunch order we are hosting. This carryout is a gem hidden in the cut. I don't know what they put in the food but you will be ADDICTED after ordering, here. Instead of chicken, do something different and try the fried fish and waffles. Trust me, it will be the best decision you ever made! You can't go wrong with the salmon fried rice, which is always on point and, unlike, another reviewer, I don't mind finding a clove or cardamom in my food. That just let's me know I'm dealing with authentic food. I don't eat chicken or beef so can't comment on that but according to other reviews on here, you won't be disappointed.
