I stopped by this coffee shop off the random to work out some 2023 goals. Cameo is located in the food hall called The Roost in SE DC, off Pennsylvania Ave. - I ordered the Mocha and the Avocado, Egg & Cheese sandwich. Both were phenomenal! - The Mocha, though kinda pricey (one of the pricier drinks on the menu), is in my top 5 best Mocha I've had in the DC area. I ended up ordering a second mug of Mocha. - The Avocado, Egg & Cheese sandwich, though also a little pricey for what you get, was quite yummy. Perfectly buttered/season. The eggs do come scrambled on the sandwich, so I requested mine over medium. I think too much aioli was added, but it didn't take away too much from the overall taste. I do recommend this coffee shop. Ideally, it's best to come early to grab a booth seat (maybe before noon). There's seating on the couches and chairs facing the windows with small round tables. In addition to coffee/hot drinks and breakfast sandwiches, they also have some pastries and some cold drinks. The breakfast ends at 3pm. The staff is also very friendly & easygoing. There is ample street parking near The Roost.

This coffee shop has some pretty solid food options, more than just baked goods. They also have a variety of drinks and pastries. It's in a good location and has outdoor seating and is connected to a food hall. It's cool if you want to stop in for a quick breakfast or sit inside and enjoy some quiet time while working. There is a good amount of seating inside.

There is no sign outside so I was kinda lost. First of all, I really like the place. It is bright that has big window. There are variety of seating options. I like the colors of their decoration. I ordered ginger coffee and it was really good even though the flavor of ginger was not that strong which I like. The staff was really kind and friendly

I think this place as a whole is EXCELLENT! I Love the atmosphere, the energy of the patrons, and the aesthetics. The environment is very welcoming! It almost dares you to leave. It appears to be designed to invite you in, provide a excellent food and drink service, but more importantly an environment where you can mentally relax and get work done. It's not too noisy, at all. At times, the excitement can jump up a bit for a meeting, but walk outside and BAM! there's some peace and calmness, until you here the screeching noise of the damn metrobus brakes in the background. Lattes tastes a little interesting. idk if it's the brand of milks or coffee beans, but the flavor never grasps my tastes buds. It never says come back for more! Love meee! More like, hit me then forget me babeyy. But the place as a whole is outstanding. Come for work, come to chat, come for love, come for brake grease......

I hesitated to post this review, not becauase i don't like the coffee. Absolutely not, i love it.

I hesitated because i don't want to give away the best kept secret in capitol hill. But, i can't be selfish, becasue selfishness is bad karma, and i do not have time for that.

This place is my spot. So much so that they know my order; mocha, hot, half sweet, in a take away cup. Sometimes i feel fancy and grab a blueberry muffin (a brief aside blueberry muffins are my favorite muffin so i have high standards for blueberry muffins and i don't know where they source these muffins from, but these muffins meet the standard.) The potato leak pastries are SO delicious. Make sure to get them heated.

the baristas are all Hella...
