Is this fine dining? No. But can you get yourself an entire bottle of wine for $22 while enjoying the American History Museum (retail of this Cab is $15)? Yep! You aren’t going to find a more affordable wine spot along the National mall. The cafe has some fun art and nice views of the EPA federal building (love me some intimidating classical architecture). If you want a nice meal walk two blocks north to The Hamilton, Old Ebbitt, or Elephant and Castle, to name a few of the many options. Horrible .We were there when they opened thinking the cafe would be ready. There was about 7 employees one seemed to be the manager or the aunt of everyone working there. There gossiping on the phone one employee was walking across food court still changing into clothes. I go ok well this many people our order of a few meals should be nothing. FOOD WAS COLD the poorest excuse for food I've had in a while. Do yourself a favor GO FOR THE M&MS OR CHIPS. These people dont care for their jobs just mooching off the museum and all the money people spend...

Got here at 11:40 am and there was hardly anyone in the cafe, so at least I didn't have to wait in a line.

Ordered a "Hot Zaddy" drink for my wife but they didn't have ingredients to make it.

Ordered a Peppermint Mocha for myself, and after the lady stared at the menu on the wall behind her for a few seconds to see what it was, she said they didn't have all the ingredients for it.

Finally ordered a plain cup of coffee and basically paid $4 for some burnt coffee flavored water). I'd go ahead and save your money and eat anywhere...
