Updated review: I wrote my original review about two years ago. The service and food quality have improved greatly! The staff has changed since my original review, and the product is fairly consistent and quite tasty. I tend to stick to tacos and the occasional burrito. I recommend the carne asada and al pastor meats and all of the veg options. If you can handle the heat go for the rojo (red) sauce or the (secret menu item) habanero sauce you need to ask for. Keeping my 2-YO comments below FYI. Updated to a 4-star review from a 2-star review.
Original review: Hit and miss food quality, really nice customer service. I moved into the area about 10 days ago and I’ve had to feed those helping me. My first visit (early last week) yielded great tacos and burritos. My second and third visits were pretty disappointing - the meat was dry and overcooked, the cheese wasn't actually on the hard tacos, and the food wasn't even hot. My last two - literally, my last - visits "featured" meat (beef and pork, and chicharrones) that was dry, chewy, and not at all tasty. Some of the chicharrones were so over-cooked and tough it was tossed in the trash. My visits were around the lunch period, and they weren't that busy - it's not like this is rocket science, but the meat was overcooked and the food wasn't at all hot from my last two visits. I won't be going back, and I'll recommend looking elsewhere - this place is...
Read moreI love this taco hole in the wall in Salmon Creek! The only thing I don't like is that they're only open until 8:00 but such is life. That being said, I have showed up 5 to 10 minutes before closing and they will still take your order, and make your food fresh. This seems to be a rare thing in this world and I have the utmost respect for them for this reason. Places these days start shutting down, it seems like an hour before they actually close. The service here has always been phenomenal, and I highly recommend them for that alone. My favorite is the steak and shrimp burrito (without cheese) the flavor is so good you don't need cheese! Just my opinion. The burritos are actually burrito size, very hefty. I also enjoy their Mexican pizza, which is 3 times the size of taco bell's and actually has authentic Mexican flavors. I also enjoy their Pastor tostadas and will continue to come here for the foreseeable future. Love the habanero and Verde salsas. Their prices are extremely fair and I always tip even though I get my food to go because of the prices and great service. Keep up the good work! I appreciate what you...
Read moreWe found and fell in love with Los Tacos Locos, authentic Mexican food stand attached to the Shell gas station market, next to Kitchen Café ~ Salmon Creek off 134th. The food is delicious and reasonably priced with large portions. The friendly family owners are amazingly consistent every meal with a warm smile. It’s our weekly go to, it’s that good! My husband, who loves fish tacos, has tried everyone in town this is finally the best he’s ever eaten & Meat, Bean Cheese Burrito, as well… I love either the summer seasonal Zucchini Burrito or Chile Relleno Burrito…the sauces are incredible! The menu is huge so we’ll have to try other items. The stand is on the west sunny side so the cooks work hard in the heat customizing every meal you can watch them through the grill window. There are a few picnic tables and it's great they are extremely busy, tho at lunch time folks pull up non-stop expect to wait a tad bit if there's a line or go after 1:00 pm. It's worth every bite for...
