Subs and pasta are decent but this review is more towards the pizza. It tends to be somewhat inconsistent in quality. I’ve had a few times where it’s great and others where it’s a miss. This was ordered as a well done with extra sausage and it was no different than a standard sausage pizza. $28 for a single topping 14" pizza… the cost often doesn’t justify the pie tbh. Update November 2024: Ok, so I haven’t had the best luck ordering “extra sausage” or any special requests for that matter but after several orders since my last review, I can’t deny that this is the real deal. Pro tip: Ordering well done = standard bake in Chicago terms but ordering extra well is a bit over. It’s fine line so be cautious. After years of searching Peoria I can say this is the tops for a thin Chicago tavern cut pie. 9.5/10 Peoria and 7.9/10 stacked against Chicago’s best.

Delicious, affordable, casually elegant. I'm from East Peoria so this is like "Washington's Avanti's" (and if you haven't been to there yet either, you need to) to me, and it's always a crowd pleaser. Italian that's not really fancy but is an upgrade from say, fazoli's, with excellent, almost sweet and soft homemade bread. Their garlic bread is great and the service is always good when I'm there. Has a nice sit down area that's very family-friendly, but you order at the window when you first walk in. Perfect for ordering out--our favorite quick bite is the family feast which for I think 22 bucks feeds 4-6 people with bread, sandwiches, spaghetti, salad, and soda. Also for th it individual dinners the portion sizes are very large. A staple to Central Illinois, and definitely worth a visit.

We ordered over the phone. The gentleman that answered the phone was polite. We pulled up to the window to receive our meal and, again, were very pleased. We asked some questions that the young man did not know. He did not act like he knew but rather asked about our question. We got home and opened up our order. The food was delicious. We had the family feast. The lasagna was probably the best I've ever had, and I eat a lot of Italian. So, hats off to that.

How much harder can this place make it to enjoy a meal? Walked in with two twenties. And a couple of ones From out of town we stopped in because of the sign s advertising the "Italian Feast". Ordered up the family great, pizza, with extra toppings, a 16" sub, garlic bread, big bottle of soda from the friendly counter girl. $37.79. Not too bad ... Dropped 3 bills and some loose change in the tip jar, thinking... Haven't tasted anything yet... I'm down 41 so far. We sit down and get comfortable waiting too eat. Different girl enters dining room and says "You can't eat the feast in our dining room you have to take it to go." What? Why? I apparently can order those items separately and eat them there but not that ONE menu item. Well the whole point was to sit down and eat at a table! Forget it, we'll go elsewhere. Please refund our payment. Little issue at first, but I took the tip back too... No food, no service, no tip. After getting two other guys involved because the second register didn't "have the right change." I was handed a wad of bills and she retained the receipt. We drove down the road and stopped at Dominoes (not my favorite place) ordered Parmesan twists and cheese dip, a large 3 topping pizza, and a much more elaborate sub, and a 2 liter, $28. Kind service, Dominoes was cleaner, I pulled the wad out of my pocket, low and behold! The second girl, with the help of two guys, had shorted me the exact amount that I took back after leaving a tip. The girl did nothing, nothing at all but felt she somehow deserved a tip. I was even calm and kind through out the situation. Not anymore. Absolutely never will I return and will take every available opportunity to share my experience at Michael's in...

Do not support this business in any way! I am a former employee and have been put through a ringer. Not only is the food quality low for the extremely high mark up, the food handling is worse. They don’t care if their employees wear gloves or not and management doesn't bother to wear them anyway. When told about food allergens that don’t care. One time the manager served a chef salad that had egg on it to someone who specifically stated they couldn’t have egg. All he did was take the egg off and said they will be fine. The salad mix is all-ways sludgy and they have us just pick through it. The pasta is the same pasta you can get at Walmart or Kroger. Not only that, they reuse their deli containers. If you don’t know why that is a problem it is because the plastic is so weak that it starts to deteriorate after being washed; leaving microplastics in your food. Then when I put in my two weeks notice the manager started falsely accusing me of destroying property and tried to make me pay for it. When I refused he told me to never show up to a Micheal’s location ever again. My entire time as an employee felt like I was in a dumpster fire being lit by a ten year in...
