I stumbled along this place just passing through. I happen to be scrolling through Yelp looking for breakfast somewhere. I was road tripping but unfortunately they were not a lot of great reviews for places along these country roads. As they drove by this place caught my attention and I wanted to see just outta curiosity what reviews were written. To my surprise this place is a big deal for their biscuits.
I made a U turn, parked and went inside. Yes this is an old repurchased gas station/grocery store/stopping point for locals to buy lottery tickets and beer. Read moreI was excited to try the famous cheese biscuits that I’ve been hearing about on my way to work one morning. Stopped in grab a sandwich and a wanted a coffee. The coffee pot was very low on coffee and I didn’t want old coffee. I asked the young lady behind the counter to make a fresh pot. She did. The older lady who makes the biscuits proceeded to cuss the poor child out. Told her she did the care who told her to make fresh coffee, don’t waste her coffee. Mind you, I’m standing right there. 2 stars for the young lady keeping her composure. I’ll go get fresh coffee elsewhere...
