Nanny O'Brien's — Restaurant in Washington

Absolutely terrible. Never once paid attention to us. Being from Europe I'm used to actual food. Its generic bar food. Never once checked up on my group. Had an attitude to ever help us and then tried to mess us over with the bill. Some of us are actually from Ireland and the UK. After ignoring us and giving us a 10$ canned wine. He began throwing a fit. We checked out and left tips but since we left a group tip instead of 25% each he ran out the bar after us and shouted to never come back if we can't give him 60$ in tips for serving us over priced generic bar food. No you dont deserve a tip for bringing me a can of wine and then never served us properly with no customer service. I could understand being upset but the moment you run outside a pub to attack us and tell at us you lose any credibility and are a manchild. The other half of us are us military. Your hipster bar is terrible your service wasnt worth a tip to begin with and your reaction to stand around for an hour and do nothing shows that your pub isn't worth it. We dont have people like your terrible pub in the UK. YOURE NOT IRISH, YOU DONT ACT IRISH, YOUR FOOD ISNT IRISH.

Stay away if you're used to real pubs.

I had high hopes for this pub but was quickly let down. We were told immediately that we would have to order at the bar even though we were at tables. But hey, at least we were informed by the guy sitting by the door. I ordered the bratwurst w/fries that took a little over 30 minutes for them to make, even though the bar was nowhere full of people. The food was nothing to write home about but decent. And their beer selection was not impressive at all so I ended up getting wine.

Everything was just ok until I went back to the bar to pay for my food and wine. It is too obvious that this restaurant lacks good customer service skills. I guess the bartender and another employee thought their conversation was so great that they had to ignore the fact that I had been standing there to pay for my meal; even after they both looked right at me. Neither of them stopped to see how they could help or if I needed something. So after a few minutes I finally interrupted them to ask for the check since, again their conversation was far too important to help a patron. I’ll find another pub in the DC area...

I went for wing Wednesday and it took almost 2 hours for the wings to arrive. The server was rude and never let us know what was going on with our foof until we awked. When the wings came they brought an order that we didn't ask for and forgot two of the orders we wanted. I told the person who delivered the wings this and he left the unwanted order on the table (we got charged for these) and went and got the server who we told the situation to and that we didn't want the forgotten orders anymore because we didn't want to wait any longer.
