Got there late around 1:30 or so, the lone bartender was clearly on the verge of blacking out he was so drunk, in the 30 minutes I was there I watched him take two more shots of fireball. Me and my two friends got three beers and paid him cash. He instantly forgot or lost the cash we gave him and he started asking for a card. Confused, I gave him my drivers license thinking he wanted to verify my age because we already paid. I then saw him stumble over to the cash register and try to swipe my driver’s license as if it was a debit card in the cash register (that’s how drunk he was) when I asked for my ID back he became very belligerent yelling that we need to pay for our drinks. We went back and forth arguing with him because we had in fact already paid for our drinks in cash, with a tip that I now highly regret giving him. He eventually put my ID down on the bar and I quickly swiped it off the bar, he then tried to jump over the bar and slips and falls on the bar chairs hurting himself pretty badly. He starts harassing me and my friends and getting in our faces. That’s when other patrons of the bar come and hold him back. I guess they are regulars because they knew him well. They said yeah he’s trashed and wasted you guys should just leave. So we walked out not wanting to get physically assaulted by the drunken bartender and we didn’t get to finish our drinks… that we paid for. This was on Saturday night/ very early morning Sunday October 2nd terrible experience would not...
Read moreNice neighborhood joint. Good TVs and ok bar food. The bartender (Alexander is a wild guess) was friendly, but he does not know how to juggle multiple customers. I'm waiting 20 minutes to order food (the 2 menus have been down); he clears the plates away of the guy next to me, solicits another beer for him, and gets that beer, then heads off to the other end of the bar. I wait 5 more. Is it against the law to take orders from 2 customers at once (or 3) ? I waited too many minutes to get the check (plates has been cleared). He served two draft samples and a beer to the guy next to me - he couldn't interject - "Anything else?" No just a check. And later, when he brought me the check, I put a card in the folder. I waited so long (over 10 minutes), I put the card away and left cash (I rarely have cash, but I had been traveling). I worked my way through college and grad school both FOH and BOH. Nobody showed this guy the ropes. It's not his fault he never got trained. I hope he reads this. You are not a "harder working" bartender if you do in 27 trips what others do in 10. You are not required to complete one task before identifying the next task. And one tap had the wrong keg connected, out of the porter spout came a lager or light ale. Another customer said the Fat Tire tap was not Fat Tire. Come on people, mistakes happen BUT FIX EM FAST, not never. Beers were $8. No happy hour specials...
Read moreHello Cleveland Park Grill,
I think you all have room for improvement after my experience here today. I appreciate you all trying to help but I saw some things that kind of bothered me.
It's not clear when you come into the restaurant to where you seat yourself or have someone seat you. This wasn't a big deal but it was a detract from the experience.
Extremely hot restaurant broken air conditioning. I did not enjoy sitting in your dining room with the air conditioning not right. It's broken or you all aren't running it to the proper temperature setting. Your dining room was extremely hot and humid. When I'm out in the heat I don't want to come into a hot restaurant. It doesn't matter if you have the best food or best people working here. Standards matter and this is what caused me to hit your rating. THIS IS WHY I ISSED YOU A ONE.
Instead of offering discounts on Groupon, why don't you focus on running your...
