Donna, the manager here is incredibly rude and insensitive. We placed an order for a food delivery last night to celebrate a birthday this morning. They cancelled our order and did not notify us until the order was supposed to arrive. When I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager Donna, she was very rude and did not help at all and spoke in an incredibly condescending tone which genuinely came from a source of frustration with DoorDash, but instead of dealing with them and their errors and the way they handled her 12 year client, she yelled at me on the phone and proceeded to say that it was not her fault or the restraints fault. While I have an appreciation for that, it is unacceptable and we should have been notified. We have a birthday celebration with no food. We still love Teaism, but try to patronize Penn Quarter.

My new favorite lunch spot!! Don’t be fooled by the name of the restaurant—it’s not just teas here—there’s a good variety of food options to eat! I’ve been here three times this past month just to try a variety of their dishes and so far have not been let down. Highly recommend the “bento boxes” for lunch—it’s a huge portion with your meat option and three sides. My favorites are the Korean Beef Brisket and Panko Fried Chicken Bento Boxes! If you’re not feeling the bento box style, you can order these as “side dishes” which is a huge portion too. The Thai Chicken Curry is also delicious—tons of chicken meat and well flavored. It’s a cafe style—you order at the register, wait for your food and then bring it to your table. Food comes out fairly quick!

First time having Ochazuke in the USA!!! It's like a twist of the original formula (usually there won't be cilantro...), but I still love it! I had it with salmon, and I was satisfied ✨ The tea soup and rice combination is a blessing to a cold day, just that please put less wasabi in my bowl haha. We also had Okonomiyaki with brisket. It was flavorful, but didn't match in my opinion 👀(like eating two dishes) Still tasty, although I would try it with other ingredients next time. It is a small restaurant with fair prices. Would recommend people come in and enjoy a casual Japanese-spirit food with some awesome tea.

What's not to love with a high quality tea selection and complimentary asian bites! Their loose tea is well priced and some of my favorite. I've been to 2 locations and both are great.

I also watched the staff handle an extremely and unnecessarily rude customer with respect and patience. She was badgering the staff repeatedly, including cursing at them, and complaining that their system of calling order numbers was disrupting her experience...totally absurd. No other customers were bothered at all by this, and it was in line with other restaurant systems. She also berated them constantly for volume in the restaurant and left no tip when she paid, plus threatened repeatedly to stop dining there. She was terribly disrespectful, but they handled it very well and made sure my experience (immediately behind this terrible customer) was still positive. Will be back a lot, and purchased 2 of their tea blends-...

Teaism used to be sooooo delish then they changed their menu and the number of unusual and delish items reduced substantially. The other day we dropped into this one hoping it would be the same as the one in penn quarter that i usually go to and ordered their usually amazingly delicious chicken curry. What i received was a bowl of relatively thin chicken broth, chicken and rice with a skewer of barely warmed bitter vegetables - read way too al dente. No more awesome think green curry with green beans that i crave regularly - i would not call this stuff curry at all and certainly won't be craving it. Everyone else were similarly unimpressed with their meals and we have now struck teaism from our lunch options. Cookies and udon were still great but bento boxes were plain in half the options and soaked in vinegar on the others. Burgers crumbled and were...
