K.C.'s Bagel Café — Restaurant in Waterbury

Bagels were okay. I called in an order based on website menu because we were stopping in during a road trip and had all of my choices lined up based on that website including option of cooked egg. When I got them on the line they mentioned they only microwave their eggs. Maybe it's time for an online update, a lot of people look at that nowadays.

I have seen some reviews about the pleasantness of the staff, or lack there of, and I agree. While the food was good and I felt like a burden as I walked to the register to pick up my food rather than waiting in line because it was pre-ordered. It feels like the type of place that they are only nice to you if you are a local that frequently stops in. Really like their bagels, but their "Canadian bacon" is not "Canadian", it's actually what Canadians call "Back bacon", it's a round shaped and thin-sliced meat, that's about the size of a bagel or English muffin. I don't know why I expected simple maple tasting bacon strips. Maybe because I'm Canadian and never heard of "Canadian" bacon before. I thought bacon was bacon, and "back bacon" was called "back bacon" down in the USA as well. I was mistaken. Won't make that mistake twice. Their coffee is "self-serve" on the counter, in "push-button" thermos containers, like in corner stores. It's good coffee, but nothing fancy. I’ve been craving an egg sandwich since all this hit the wall. Unfortunately, it’s been over a month since I had my last real fix. Today, all that changed. After driving down to the Winooski from Mt.
