My husband and I came down from Montreal to visit Stowe over the holidays and happened upon this wonderful place!
They were very busy but they managed to find us a comfy spot at the bar which ended up being a wonderful experience because we got to talk with members of the staff who were absolutely delightful! We spoke quite a bit to someone whom I think might have been an owner as well, who was very accommodating and so very kind to us. Thank you :)
We had appetizers and pizzas which were both excellent. You can taste the fresh ingredients and quality. Excellent meals! They also have a very decent wine selection and we even discovered a new favorite red wine that evening ;)
The decor and ambiance is stunning and you can see how much work they put into it with all the attention to detail. There was even a band playing that night and they were fabulous :)
All in all, a wonderful experience and if we go back to Stowe this year I hope to come by for another visit to this beautiful and...
Read moreStone's Throw is the best pizza place because of its combination of great food and amazing atmosphere. The vibe is just unbeatable, and the food is always consistently delicious. Whenever I'm craving pizza, it's the first place that comes to mind. There's just something about the way they make their pizza that's so perfect.
The crust is always crispy and golden brown, with just the right amount of chewiness. The sauce is tangy and flavorful, and the toppings are always fresh and high quality. I especially love the variety of toppings they have to choose from, which allows me to customize my pizza exactly how I want it.
But what really sets Stone's Throw apart is the atmosphere. It's the perfect spot to hang out with friends or family, with a cozy and inviting interior that feels like home. Plus, the staff is always friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better.
Overall, I can't recommend Stone's Throw enough. It's the perfect place to grab a pizza and unwind...
Read moreI was so excited to try this new resturaunt in Waterbury! The decor was super cute and the staff were so welcoming. I loved both the cocktail and glass of wine I had, the cocktail was well made and both the wine and cocktail menu felt really thoughtfully curated.
However, the food left a lot to be desired. I got a ceaser salad which came out with room temperature lettuce, no dressing, and visibly wilted and browning leaves.
Honestly, the pizza was lovely, I liked the crust in particular! Unfortunately, the texture of the cannoli left me feeling pretty negative about the meal overall. While the shell was crunchy and lovely, the filling had so much uncooked gelatin in it that it was grainy and gooey.
I'm bummed- it was so cute and I really wanted to like this place, but for my whole meal I paid $66 which I wouldn't have minded if the food had been good. Just disappointing...
