Subway — Restaurant in Waterbury

My boyfriend and I are visiting from GA to see his family here in CT. We LOVE subway and get it all the time in GA. We went to this subway twice while we were visiting for the week. MS is the nicest worker we have ever met in the food industry. He is probably the nicest one we will ever meet. Working in the food industry is never the fanciest job to have and I personally know how draining it can be. When you walk in, MS just seems so happy to be there. He welcomes you with a smile. He remembers your face even if he has only met you once. You can tell he wants to make sure he gets your sandwich just right by asking for example “You want more mayo? You sure?” If anyone has ever given him a bad review or mouthed-off to him, I hope they feel bad because I cannot see MS ever deserving that. MS, I hope subway pays you well for being literally the most welcoming, nicest and most thoughtful employee in the food industry. And if they don’t, show them all the great reviews you have! You deserve the best pay subway can offer! Or, promotion in job...

Exemplary. If you are a Subway manager, you should go to this location and find out how to do exactly what they do.

I arrived at around 6:00 P.M. 08/26/2014. There were no other customers in the store, but I was greeted politely and immediately: "Welcome to Subway. I'll be right with you." I spoke quickly, which was no problem for the proactive associate, who (with a very forgivable exception) never made me repeat myself. There was no annoying suggestive selling bull**: "Add bacon? Extra cheese?" It was quick. Unfortunately, my points card was not accepted.. Oh well. The (mens) bathroom was spotless. As I left the store, an employee jumped out from the kitchen to wish me well.

I eat at Subway 3-5 times a week. This is the second Google review I have ever written. I would seriously feel guilty if I did not write a review.

This location doesn't honor Subway deals or promotions which is a big thing most of us love about Subway. $5 classic footlongs, BOGO when those deals are running won't be at this location which hurts the Subway franchise image because now we'll just go to a location that does. There's a sign by the register that states it, and I usually see that sign at independently foreign owned Subway's who don't want to pass the savings on to the customer because it might effect the stores bottom line gross profit.
