Vincenzo's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Waterbury

Only went to this place because I tried it at work and thought it would be a good idea. Went with my entire family for the lunch special deals and even were clarified by our waitress Klaudia that they were going to be the lunch sizes and we kept asking about the price and she assured us it was the lunch special. We ordered a lot of food and come to find out once we get the check that we got charged the dinner prices for the “lunch size” portions and the prices that are on the menus ARE WRONG. Do not go by the menus and I would suggest asking for the check before you order because we were over charged by $50 and given no sympathy by the owner Mike. If the waitress wasn’t sure about the price she should’ve asked the owner before us ordering instead of telling the customers yes. Or train your employees and staff this way customers aren’t in the dark. Mike kept arguing with us and didn’t acknowledge what we were trying to say when charging us $16 for a pasta when it should’ve been $8 (since lunch is between 11-2 and the prices do not say TAKE OUT ONLY IT SAYS “served between 11-2”. No wonder we were the only ones there eating.. we can see why there was no business because they over charge their customers (especially in times like these). I suggest going somewhere else for Italian food because this place is just money hungry. On top of it the food they wrapped to go, they threw out half of my meal. Just the cherry on top of this disappointing waste of a drive experience. Definitely first and last time.

• IN RESPONSE TO YOUR RESPONSE OWNER* Would be nice to get a copy of the receipt but you kept it. Would be nice when we asked about the prices Klaudia (waitress) she agreed with us when we asked FOUR times to make sure. HIRE EMPLOYESS WHO KNOW HOW MUCH THINGS ARE. No one was on the same page in there. Also thanks for the receipt that you commented, about time we got that. And if you take pride in your food and restaurant you would honor the prices that the menu says for YOUR website/paper menu or have someone update it-not that hard. And if you take pride you should have honored what was on YOUR menu. I’ve seen better businesses handle these situations better. Thanks for that one time experience and good luck with YOUR business. The BEST ITALIAN IN CONNECTICUT!!!!!

Ok so here is the deal. This place is a whole in the wall....and I mean whole. As in the whole deal. AMAZING!!!!! In this unsuspecting looking location on the corner disguised as a neighborhood pizza place is the best Italian food I have had in years. Yes it has a pizza window for carry out and they deliver as well. But, in the restaurant portion. Is a small elegant dining room. It seats maybe 35 so call get in do what you must or have it delivered. The food is scratch made the food was perfectly seasoned. I am not one for broccoli flowers especially stuffed ones but they were Killer. The soup brought make memories of when my sisters abd I would go to different place in Manhattan. The owner is friendly and is willing to explain how or why a dish is on the specials menu. So, if you are in Waterbury Connecticut and you want some,of the best Italian around you found it at Vincenzo's. Go that and support your small businesses

Lady on the phone can seem stern but was actually very nice , their pizza is really really good I will definitely order again unlike other places their grinders are on ciabatta bread. This is good. If you like certain breads, it can be a little more on the driver side but add a little bit of extra mayo when you’re good I had the sweet heat grinder very saucy very delicious but next time I’m gonna have just plain chicken cutlet my husband got a wrap the wrap was dry and did not have extra cheese, which is why I took a star away he asked for extra cheese. He barely had any. He also asked for lettuce onions that was missing too The only thing they put inside of his chicken bacon ranch wrap was chicken and bacon. I’m not even sure if they put ranch. I feel bad, so his was kind of a mess up and a let down. Everything else was really really good. I would try again.
