So I wanted to try a new pizza place tonight, figured we would try chubby Charlie's for the very first time ever. Let me share my experience with you. I called in a phone order for a large, cheese only, round Pizza. (When we try a new pizza place we get cheese only because if a place can't make a good cheese pizza then they can't make any good pizza.) Upon arrival in the "rundown strip mall", I could not identify a chubby Charlie's Pizza sign? It seems it is in disrepair on the building so, okay I get it maybe they're repairing their sign, but anyway First Impressions right. Upon walking in the front door, I immediately noticed that the floor was absolutely filthy, and the chubby Charlie's carpet literally looks like it has not been cleaned or changed out in quite some time, possibly months, again hear me out just first impressions. However here's the real kicker, they could not find the pizza that I ordered. After a few minutes and me explaining my name, showing my phone and what time I called in the order, it turns out that they accidentally gave my pizza to someone else. I'm a reasonable person, I understand mistakes happen, so I asked what was on the other guys Pizza? The pizza the other guy had left behind, since he was given the wrong pizza, my chessse only. They said cupped pepperoni which I am not a fan of, but I said well do you want to just honor the same price as the cheese pizza and I'll just take that dude's Pizza? I understand you made a mistake, we are hungry but we are not going to wait another 28 minutes for a cheese only Pizza. I was told the price is similar to the other Pizza I said well wait a minute aren't you going to just throw out that pizza anyway? Like you won't give it to me for the same price as the cheese pizza? I asked if they want to talk to their manager or do you want to ask how you would like to handle this cuz this is the "very first time as I explained on the phone that we were going to try chubby Charlie's pizza" again First Impressions and I understand people make mistakes. However they could not make a decision as to what to do and I said I'm just going to leave and I won't ever be coming back here. I was very reasonable, I was not rude, I didn't even raise my voice. It just seems to me that the entire situation was handled extremely poorly from a customer service stand point. We were enthusiastic about trying chubby charlie's, however it was just not meant to be, the universe and destiny were under complete control.
A couple questions and thoughts for the owner: Would it have been worth just honoring the price of a cheese pizza instead of throwing out the other Pizza due to your mistake? The opportunity to gain a new customer what is that worth? Let's be realistic if you're a real business person you understand the idea of cost of acquisition regarding customers. Furthermore you can really appreciate gaining a long-term new customer.
Some might even say, it would have been worth it just giving us the other Pizza instead of throwing it out? Bare in mind we did offer to purchase that other Pizza simply asked if we could have it at the price of the cheese pizza which we ordered.
I would highly recommend cleaning up your restaurant inside and definitely get a new carpet entry mat, it's kind of gross, again first impressions, really looking forward to HEARING a REPLY from the owner of this establishment. Hope to hear...
Read moreFood is probably fine warm, but I'm writing this while waiting for our food, which we will likely eat cold. Food was ordered online and we picked it up. Things were missing and wrong. We called and sent someone to go get what was missing. Instead, we ended up in a 20 minutes disagreement where the staff refused to fix a problem, and insisted nothing was wrong, and that they would check the cameras to confirm we got everything. After a long fight over the phone, we finally convinced them to fix the order, which was literally some sauces and bread sticks for a family member who is allergic to cheese and couldn't eat the other bread sticks. Everyone got to eat cold food while we waited.
It's not that there were missing items. It happens. I've never experienced someone flat out saying we were lying about some bread sticks and sauces and fought with me over a simple food mistake. Outrageous leadership and employees. I'll never deal with this company again, because the level of disrespect was just too much.
Marinara for our bread sticks was...
Read moreExtremely unprofessional and rude. Will never come back here in my personal time again. I work for doordash and gave the name for the order to two separate employees after coming into the store to pick up a customers order (at the location on Cooley Lake Rd). I then sat there for 30 minutes past the time it was supposed to be ready. I eventually went back up to the counter and asked another employee if my order was ready. I gave the name for the order for the third time and it was already ready right behind the counter. By the time I had gotten it to the customer I received a text not long after saying their food was cold. Not sure how long it had already been ready and sitting behind the counter for, but this entire experience was very unprofessional. I understand we as doordashers are not your customers, but we ARE responsible for getting the food to YOUR customers in a timely manner. And we could also be people who give you business outside of us working. Would not recommend coming to this store just based off the way they treat...
