This has to be the most poorly ran Jersey Mike’s location I’ve ever been to. The staff was so uncoordinated I’m surprised they could even make a sandwich. When I entered the store, there was one person in front of me. It took 35 minutes to get my two sandwiches. First, one guy is slicing and stops midway to start dealing with phone orders. Then another older guy is walking around like a chicken with its head cut off asking what they need to do yet not actually doing anything. Meanwhile, another employee is just staring at an empty grill, one is just staring at an empty condiment area, and the last is trying to get me to pay before my sandwich is even sliced. Within minutes the entire restaurant is filled with customers. One dude decides to just take everyone’s order instead of helping to move me along. I sit for probably 10 minutes with a half sliced order until someone finally starts to finish it. I have to watch intently and correct the guy 3 times on what sandwiches I ordered. A 5 and a 13 with no cheese. Super complicated apparently. So I’m finally at the condiment area. The person working doesn’t even bother to ask what I want and just begins adding whatever they please to the sandwich. No ticket, nothing. She just assumes one thing. I stop her immediately and say what I want on each. I have to stop her 2 more times in the process quickly before she makes a mistake. Finally get the subs and leave. What a terrible experience. Oh and the standards for hygiene in a restaurant were laughable. Nobody is changing gloves yet still touching everything in the store such as the phone, computer, pens, receipt printer, etc. This shift of workers was absolutely terrible and can’t even realize where their own bottlenecks in the production process are. I’d highly recommend a new manager and possibly a...
Read moreSTARTS WITH THE OWNER. ANY OWNER WHO DOES NOT RESPOND TO CUSTOMERS IT SPEAKS FOR THEIR BUSINESS PRACTICES. When I got to the point I was ordering I told the employee I needed 3 giant subs (mind you giant subs are $20 a piece and essentially the size of a subway footlong). I wanted rosemary parm bread, his response. "We have one white then only wheat" wait, what? You don't close for over 3 hours and your telling me that's my only option? I didn't say anything just proceeded to order. As my subs are being made the next customer comes up and orders two subs on rosemary parm, what happens??? The employee topping my subs goes in the back and gets rosemary parm. Is this actually happening? I then had to say something. Response, "well I just went and got it for him"... What? Why didn't you go get it for me? This isn't 45 minutes later it's a matter of maybe a minute. Then.. "we're out of bacon" what? I ordered a club that's 1/3 of the sub. Again, your open for 3 more hours. Then when I asked for 6 vinegar and oil cups you would think I asked for their wallet. I ordered essentially 12 subs (3 giant subs all cut into 4) did not get juice on 2 of them. This place is a disgrace. I went in to this location around 6pm Wednesday August 28th. Waited in line extra long due to the incompetent staff. They were ringing up the wrong orders for customers which created a huge mess. Then what it seemed no one had the knowledge or permission to fix...
Read moreFoods great, unfortunately, the owner of the establishment is unprofessional and hypocritical. Very much not cut out for the position, only has it because his dad is sick. Does not take a leadership role and told me to figure it out instead of helping me obtain my W2. I was let go with no notice because I was getting frustrated with how my training has been going. He wouldn't give me more hours until I learned more stations but rarely gave me any opportunity to do it because we'd get "too busy". He would encourage me to try and move my way into different stations and then call me impatient when I did so. He tells us to leave our feelings / home life out of work, but everytime he comes in he is complaining about something or someone. During his interviews he says he understands mental illness but if you step into the back to regain composure he will get upset at you. When you hold others to the same standard he sets for you, he takes it as disrespect. His preferred method of communication is not entirely listening to the words coming out of your mouth, talking over you and raising his voice. If you're looking for a stable place to work this is not the place to go and if you're looking to uplift your community and support those in need, take your business elsewhere. Decorations crooked, training whack, attitude whack and toxic if it's...
