I typically don't leave reviews, but this one is needed. I rarely ever eat fast food. This was poorest customer service I've experienced in a long time.
I was in the drive up and only 1 other vehicle. I heard the pre-recorded message. I sat and waited for about 2 minutes. I said, "Hello?" They young lady responds giggling from talking to her peers, "How can I help you?" I made my order and then she says, "Is that all you want?" I said yes and thank you.
I get to the widow to get my food, the young lady had a mean look on her face. As she handed me the drinks, she pushed them into my hands and rolled her eyes and closed the sliding door as I was saying thank you. She came back with the food, and shoved the bag in my hand. I said thank you and she scrunched her face up and rolled her eyes.
I say all of this to say, customer service is important. There is no reason to be rude to anyone because you have to respond to a customer. I understand young people nowadays are much different than my generation. But to be rude because I said, "Hello" after sitting there for 2 minutes whole everyone held personal conversation is insane. Read moreI was in there this evening with my daughter. She us a toddler. Every table was gross and there was soda spilt in front of the soda machine. There was a bunch of napkins everywhere ti cover up the soda. I had to step around it to get our drinks. There was an older lady that walked up and got her drinks. As she was walking away there was an employee finally cleaning it up. She stayed so he could hear that the tables were gross. Mind you there wernt busy at all and the crew was just messing around in the back. The girl that started to wipe down the tables that came out said "can you take care of yiur tray if your done, I need to wipe down the tables" the lady she said this to had to be in her 60s. When the lady said you can take care of it. The employee said no it's your tray you can take care of it. Super rude. Then when we were about to leave my daughter slipped on the wet floor and the girl behind the counter says "oh no the little girl almost slipped." Absolutely lazy and sad. Read more8/21/25: Updating. Drive through is fast. Not always fresh though, depending what time you go. 4 star service drive through. Last time I went inside, about 3 months ago, I waited over 20 minutes for my order, which consisted of only 1 happy meal. They cleared out their drive through and ignored my order. I was literally the only customer inside the building. The manager (idk if she still works there) took zero responsibility, even though she was packing the orders and I watched her ignored it. They only prepped my order after I asked to talk to the manager, and she still tried to avoid coming to the front counter to talk to me. At that point, I got a refund and left the food behind. Zero star service for inside dining. Prices have shot up a LOT. McDolands used to be the hands down option for cheap fast food. Now it's about even with everywhere else, and I'd rather have Wendy's or Burger King for those prices. Yikes. Settled on updating to a 3 star: it would be lower, but staff doesn't control pricing, and I haven't seen that bad...
